The Differnce Between Google Analytics And Google Web Master Tools
I get this question a lot of times "what's the difference between Google Analytics and Google Web Master Tools.
In a nut shell one is for traffic information and the other is how Google see's your website as a search engine.
So I thought I would make a post so I can use it for my own reference when someone asks, and of course a reference for the rest of the WA.
Both these tools are free and are very powerful tools that you have at your disposal. So make sure you use them.
And yep this information can be a bit overwhelming.
But if you're a data junkie then these tools will be right up your alley. I'm not, I just review the information that I'm interested in and and leave the rest alone. I get in and I get out - if I don't I get a headache.
So here's what you'll find available in each tool:
Google Analytics is Googles Website Statics Tool That Focuses On Traffic.

I'm one that is overwhelmed with both these tools and don't understand them much. This has helped and I will bookmark it and study it out some more. Thanks. :)
Like anything you don't need to learn everything all at once. Learn a little at a time and you'll be fine. You can also fins YouTube videos going through these tools, that should help.
It does for me, I'm a visual guy, so seeing how things work allows me to understand better.

Wow Leo, I did not know this about either tool. I know right now my Google Analytics is not working properly but didn't think it was that important, but after seeing the things it checks sounds like I really need to fix my issue with Google Analytics. Thanks so much for putting this info together.
You're welcome, yeah Google analytics has it's brain farts - just part of it's personality
