Kyle Said It Would Be Easy, Boy Was He Was Right
A about a month ago I mentioned to Kyle that my twin brother wanted to start a website sharing his journey of losing weight (he still is). And Itold Kyle I had an old domain name that we wanted to use and want to move it here to the WA to take advantage of all the tools.
He said, "Leo it's very easy to transfer things" Soyesterday we started this process.
I had the domain name at Go Daddy, so I first went into my godaddy account, turned off privacy protection and domain protection – requested the transfer verification code, then I simply had to accept the transfer to WA and we were good to go.
Next I went into Site Domains and started the process of transferring and yep Kyle was right - it took a total of 35 minutes to have everything transferred.
Once transfered I installed wordpress (WA site builder) uploaded a pro theme. I added the Privacy Policy, Website Agreement, Terms Of Use and Earning Disclaimer pages including the all content for each page and droped those in a footer at the bottom of the site.
I got the Contact page and form installed. And I added the about page with his story. And added those to a menu at the top of the site. Just a few more things to add to that top menu.
So the site is built out with all the needed pages. No optin form to build a mailing list at this point, but one will come when the site is getting over 500 visitors per day.
We've have the affiliates we are going to work (beach body and weight watchers) with but we are not going to add the links until we have at least 3 months of content.
We also have an eBook that we wrote together a while back that includes his green smoothie and meal recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and even kitchen tips (my brother is a private chef) he’s going to sell that on the site as well.
And we're updating the book right now. Currently every smoothie and recipe shows the nutritional information, we're now going to add the Point vaule that weight watchers uses to this information.
This is also another benefit we can use to sell the book, that it has the weight watchers point info. Also need to change the page cover of the book, as it has another domain name on the cover, that's will take 5 minutes to do.
Currently the site has a under construction homepage but that will be coming down in 4 or 5 days, just have to tweak the design of the site, and add the logo I created and then we are good to go. Site comments here we come - LOL
So my twin brother is jumping into affiliate marketing, I know he’s going to do great.
On another note, I'm going to use this site as a case study so I can use it on my WA affiliate site - so win - win - win.

Sounds like you and your bro created very useful information that can easily monetize over time, Leo. Everyone wants a one-stop shopping place for diet and nutritional info. Good job!

That sounds all very exciting - writing one's own books/ebooks and selling them is an interesting and exciting journey. You and your brother will do well.
We have also moved several websites over to WA and yes, the process is so easy, that we looked at each and asked "Is this it?" We were totally overthinking it and thought it was going to be difficult, but it wasn't. ;-)
