How To Exclude Your IP From Google Analytics
I've seem members ask about Google analytics and does it track your own visits to your website. And the answer is yes it does track your visits.
And you don't want that because you'll have dirty stats. But you can exclude your own IP by using the filter feature.
Here's how:
Login into your Google analytics account, now click on the site you want to filter from your analytics list. You can also click on All Website Data under the domain name.
Once on the next page at the top of the page click on Admin.
Then under All Website Data click on Filters.
Choose filter type that would be Pre Defined. Now Select Filter Type from drop down menu and that would be Exclude
Now Select Source from the next drop down beside select filter type and that would be Traffic From The IP Addresses
It will say Select Source or Destination on the drop down I've already picked the filter type so the form field for adding your IP address would appear in the screen shot.
Now select the expression and that would be That Are Equal To now click save. Your IP is now excluded from your Google analytics.
I beleive in you

Thank you!! This is awesome!! Now some people might not know that their Google Chrome address is different than their PC IP address. I found mine here: https://browsernative.com/tools/
This link will show your public IP address as well as show you a picture of where you are on the map!!
Wow....technology!!
Thank you so much I was wondering how to exclude me from my stats because I want it to be accurate
Thank you Leo! This was very helpful indeed.
Does this also prevent bounce rate increase on our part? You know, from previewing and refreshing our posts and pages all the time.
Hope this makes sense.
