11 Minutes To Create A 1788 Word Post

The ongoing theme for many people is that creating new content can be a challenge. Yep, I'll agree, it can be if you're working hard and not smart.

How did I create a 1788 word post in just over 11 minutes? I dictated it using Dragon Naturally Speaking.

I stopped typing content a long time ago. Sure I can type fast but I can talk faster. And dragon makes it really easy.

Update: I have sinced upgraded from version 13 to the Professional Individual version 15. And this latest version is amazing.

Dragon is a wonderful product I've used it for years but Yoast keeps nailing me for my reading level that my content is on, It's too high, I have to bring down the level of my verbage Sometimes I feel like I can't win:) I know it's not a difficult fix but I am struggling a little with that

BTW windows 10 have a speech to text software and its supposed to be pretty good . I'm checking it out before I purchase dragon.

I've been told about windows, never used it, I've only used Dragon.

I'm so glad you posted this. I myself can only use one side of my body and i am getting dragon. Kyle also mentioned getting dragon when he broke i believe he said his wrist. Thanks for bringing this valuable tool to light.

Hey and the upside is you don't have to break your wrist to try it either - LOL

I would have to read it to believe it was of high quality. The conventions and requirements for quality written information are different and less forgiving than a conversation with a friend.

Sorry, I know Dragon Speak pretty well and it can be good to get ideas down in a flow of consciousness but then requires considerable editing in my experience.

I say this having known people that could type final copy as a first draft, But they are few and far between.

I barley have to do any editing, maybe a word here and there - it works perfectly for me.

Hey Leo. I schedule posts like you’ve done here but always get a missed schedule and have to do it manually. Do you get the same issue? I know there’s a plugin to fix this but would rather not keep adding plugins. Cheers.

I've never have had a scheduling issue with wordpress.

I remember Kyle plugging this and getting denied the admission to the affiliate program. Lol.

Still a great program. With this and outsourcing, I haven't actually typed content in a while.

I don't promote it to bother with the affiliate program, for me it's just a great tool.

Thanks for sharing this Leo. I was wondering if you do any kind of writing at all to prep for the dictation, or do you just speak with a "stream of thought" technique regarding whatever your subject is?
And as far as editing your content, can it be done as you dictate?

I simply have my sub heading and then dictate for each one.

And yep, you can edit as you go, or go back and do it, which ever way works for you
