We Can Inspire Getting Inspiration From Others

This morning on my walk with Aisa I was pondering about inspiration. About how people inspire each other.

I have a friend who is 78, she's almost the age of my mother. We see each other once a month and we can talk for hours. I normally rarely talk that much with anyone. She once told me that I'm an inspiration for her, that she learns a lot from me.

That sounds almost as if I were a coach (which my boyfriend keeps telling me is where he sees me). But I never felt like a coach, I always thought a coach must lead people, tell them what to do. Maybe I was wrong though. Maybe a coach rather shows his own struggles and how they overcome them.

Just for the record, I have no aspirations to become a coach. This is just a bunch of thoughts that might or might not be valuable for you.

The main thought that led me to write this is that we can inspire others if we get inspired by someone else in the first place. I wouldn't be who I am without all the books I've read, the hundreds of videos I've watched and some amazing people I've met.

All the struggles we go through make us stronger. And then we can share our experience. We can inspire others.

WA is a huge source of inspiration too, the posts and the comments under the posts are full of wisdom if you are ready to see it. And if you are willing to read them.

It took me a while to understand I can't only work on my websites and use this platform just for trainings and questions. There's power and wisdom in this community of like-minded people. Not everyone is the same, of course. But there are people here who resonate with you.

I think we all need inspiration and there's rarely any around us. You might have one or two friends but you don't get to see them every day, do you?

But you can "see" your friends at WA every day, if you wish to. You can get inspired and encouraged.

I love my WA friends and I'm very grateful for them. Thank you.

Love
Lenka

You've said it all Lenka.

When I was gone for a couple of months, it was the community that I missed the most.

However now that I'm back I want to pay more attention to my website and at the same time trying not to loose the love of this community.

My source of inspiration is found mainly here.
Carol

Me too, Carol, I was missing the community and the atmosphere of sharing and encouraging each other more than I thought I would.
It's always about finding the right balance, like everything else in life.
Thank you for sharing!

It is that word Lenka, 'resonate'. I use it alot, people, words and ideas have to resonate and be on your wave length.
I have a step mother who is 83 now and we have been talking ever since we met, 35 years ago. I go to visit for 5 days and we don't stop talking the whole time.
She inspires me to be a better person.
There are many here at WA that inspire me too.

Yeah, when someone's way of thinking of view on life resonates with us, it is like that. We can talk for hours without a break.
Thank you for sharing and your words of wisdom, Linda.

Great post!
It's true, by socializing with people I learned a lot and it brought me a lot and sometimes changed my points of view. Our friends and loved ones are important for moving forward in life because without socialization, we would be missing a little something and we would not evolve as quickly, in my opinion.

Ingrid

That's very true, Ingrid, I've changed my points of view many times based on that. Thank you for reading and dropping a comment, always appreciated!

I think you would make a great coach Lenka if you decided to go down that route!
Sharing experiences and learning from each other is one of the most valuable aspects of our WA membership. I’m very grateful for my circle of WA friends too

Cheers
Dave🙂

Not planning that at all but never say never :)
Anyway, thank you Dave for being one of my dear friends here at WA. I believe we will meet one day in real.
Hope you are having a nice Sunday!
Lenka

That would be great Lenka. I am very hopeful that one day I will meet all my dear WA friends. It will be awesome when it happens!

Yeah, it will! When all this pandemic craze is over and we can travel again, I'm sure there will be some opportunities to meet up with WA friends as well.

Yes, we do indeed get inspiration from others, and WA is an amazing place to learn from those who've achieved success. Just reading chat, and blog posts here can inspire and teach you things. Best wishes, Kathy:)

That's true Kathy and not only from those who've achieved success but also from those who've just managed to overcome some struggle, writer's block or whatever it may be that prevents us temporarily from going forward.
I learn so much here from others, there's so much wisdom here!
Have a nice Sunday!
Lenka
