There are no limits!

This morning when I was combing my hair, I remembered my former hairdresser. Sorry dear male members, I guess hair is not a very intersting topic for you :)

You know, I haven't been to hairdresser for almost two years. And here's the reason why.

I always wanted a hair reaching down my waist, or at least coming close. But my hair didn't want to grow that long. Or just couldn't?

Of course it couldn't. When you think about it, hair is supposed to grow, if we speak about

normal growth and not miracles, about 1 to 2 cm a month. If you go to hairdresser every month or every two months and they cut your hair, they never cut it less than that. Rather even more. Because hairdressers like cutting.

Now I'm coming to my point.

I told my hairdresser I wanted to have a longer hair. I always told her either not to cut it or if she insisted on cutting for the hair to be healthier, I told her to cut just the ends.

Not only did she always cut more than I wanted but when I told her my hair didn't seem to grow much longer, she said that "some people just reach a certain length and that's it."

Can you see how limiting that is? If I took her word, I would have never had the hair length I

wanted. I mean, it would not be the end of the world, but what I'm about is that statement. And similar ones.

I don't like that. We can have and reach whatever we want if we believe that.

I believed it was possible to have a very long hair. I didn't know if it was going to happen and I woud accept it if it didn't happen. But to expect that it's not possible?

And it's the same with everything we believe. So many people around us think this or that is not possible and keep repeating that.

Never accept something would not be possible.

Everything is possible!

My hair did reach the length I wanted and it is because I didn't accept what the hairdresser, who's supposed to be an expert in that, told me. Even experts can be wrong.

Believe!

Believe you deserve the best and if you long for something there is a reason why you do.

Believe one day you will have it.

One day you'll get there. 😍

Love

Wow! Great post, superb analogy! It is unwise to accept someone else's opinion on something without trying for yourself. The fact is everyone's 100% is different! What is difficult for someone might be a breeze for you. Nothing is impossible

I do not go to hairdressers but for a completely different reason! I do my own hair! I found that I could do hair much better than the hairdressers I was acquainted with! I sat once and nearly died in my heart while the hairdresser messed with my hair..... never again!

Thank you for bringing that back to me and everyone else here!

Claudia

Thank you Claudia for sharing your thoughts! I haven't noticed your comment until today!
I've heard of such cases before, one girl told me she was crying all night after having her hair messed up by a hair dresser. And what can you do then? Even if they give you a discount, it takes ages for your to regrow.
You are very skilled to do your hair on your own. Kudos to you!

Thank you my friend!

To our success!
Claudia

Do you think your hairdresser believed what she told you?

Much of sales is also consulting. Your customer asks you a question whose answer could end up limiting your sales, a bit. However, your answer needs to reflect an honest assessment, otherwise your integrity leaks away. In this case, I suspect you would have gone back to your hairdresser for a minimal 'split ends' trim and she(?) would have earned her basic cut rate. Now she gets nothing from you?

Dolf, you are right that many salesmen advice you for their profit only. This one, however, was really convinced she was telling the "truth". She had a nice longish hair but kept saying she needed to cut it shorter because it was damaged (I didn't agree with that looking at her hair).
We have to be aware of salesmen and affiliate marketers, right? :)

Totally agree.
Everything is possible. It is us, who limits ourselves by believing other people who tells us this or that is impossible. That we can't be this, we can't be that and by letting our fears rule our heads.

So... We will have it. We'll get there.

** I had similar experience. My used to be hairdresser didn't want me to have bangs/fringe, because apparently, my forehead is too narrow, so I went home, and did it myself! lol (stubborn side of me)
Glad that it didn't look that bad on me 😊**

You are right, Mina, we should never let others to tell us what to do or not to do. It's unrequested advice. Sometimes my mom tells me how to do things and so on and I learned to tell her patiently I don't need her unrequested advice.
You did well! It's your hair, after all :)

Hello Lenka,

It is incredulous how we often let others define our limits. It seems easier to do that compared to follow encouragement from people who push us beyond what we think are our limits.

The opposite is also true. When others see our capability more than we can, that helps us to go beyond our limits. That proves those limits were artificial. Just like your hair analogy.

Thanks for sharing these words of wisdom.

All the best.

Edwin

Edwin, thank you for reading! I still might I do have some limits of other kind in my subconscious mind but consciously I know everything is possible. Just to believe and see ourselves there with the result already, and go for it.

I noticed that you said former, we can get caught up in the energy of others, one of the best breakthroughs can be to learn that we are the masters of our destiny.

Claim it and get on with crafting the results in life that we want.

How is your hair going today Lenka, did you reach your goal?

Alex

Oh did I forget to mention I reached the length I wanted? It is almost there, I'm happy with that. I would have never reached it if I listened to the hairdresser and kept visiting her.
Thanks for asking, Alex, and have a nice day!
