Just A Few Drawings

Even though this is not a business related post (disclaimer for those who only want to read about business and affiliate marketing), it is a part of my life I want to share with you.

As a child, I loved drawing. My cousins kept asking me to draw princesses for them as I was good at drawing pretty faces and shoes with hight heels.

When I grew up, I had many other interests and then I studied, graduated, got a job, married etc. Was rebuilding a house of my grandma which turned out to be a completely new building apart from one wall. Everything knocked down and built anew. Hard work of 5 years.

Then my husband wanted to get divorced and I was left with a mortgage to pay off (and I also lost my job that time). I had to work hard to make ends meet. No time for drawing.

Now the situation is different. Morgage is paid up and I don't have to worry about bills anymore. I can enjoy life much more than when I was younger.

Two years ago I started drawing again and also tried oil painting. I love both and it's the only activity when I completely forget about time.

I found out I love drawing dogs most of all and maybe I am able to capture something from their soul. I hope so.

This is our Aisa on her couch in the kitchen.

She's got a couch almost in every room of our house. She's not allowed to sleep in bed though.

We took her from a dog shelter when she was 3 month old. She's 8 now. The older she gets, the more cuddly she is.

This is Meddy, he was 13 years old when we got him from a dog shelter and surprisingly, he and Aisa got used to each other very quickly.

He was with us only less than a year. When he went behind the rainbow bridge, Aisa kept looking for him. We loved him very much.

And here is Max, a 13 year old Swiss Shepherd who was on chain all his life and now his owners went to a retirement home so their children were looking for a place where to place him or they would put him to sleep. He's in a dog shelter for old and tortured dogs, the same one we had Meddy from, getting good care and love.

The lady who owns the dog shelter has got between 30 and 40 dogs in her house and garden, all old ones and she gives them all they need. She also has a husband and children, they all help her, of course.

So that's just something else from my life I haven't shared yet (well, now I have). Something else apart from translations, lessons and affiliate marketing. Something I really feel happy doing. It's like a therapy for the soul.

Wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Love
Lenka

Thank you for sharing your drawings. I love dogs so it was good to see that you had rescued at least two of them from shelters. I think people like the "idea" of having a dog, but the reality is a bit different, especially if they live in a city.

Beautiful expressive drawings.

With 2020 Vision,
Karin 😎

So true Karin, I think many people like the idea but can't really imagine what it means to have a dog, how much time you have to spend with it and also that every breed has different needs.
Thank you for your words of appreciation.
Have a nice weekend!

I see this as another niche! πŸ˜ƒ
You have talent. I think drawing is therapeutic as well not just a hobby. It somehow release your stress and it makes your mind blank for awhile.

I love drawing and coloring too. But, I'm not very good at it so I'm into doodling rather drawing.
It helps.

It is very relaxing and feels nice, I agree. Doodling is great too.
I only draw dogs or faces of people and when the picture's finished, I like how the eyes of the dog or person look at me, it's as if they were real 😊

These are awesome, Lenka! And you've captured a unique expression in each dog's face too 🐢

I'm glad that you managed to pick it back up again! We all need some form of hobby in our personal time for therapy. You are a truly talented person.

Isaiah 😊

Isaiah, thank you very much, I'm glad I got back to it and found out that drawing dogs is something I'm probably good at.
I might share some more pictures some time :)
Thank you for your support!

I know you already have your other niches for beauty/anti-aging and translations, but have you also considered a third possible niche connected to your art? Perhaps in the future if you don't have the time for it now πŸ€”

I'm considering it very seriously now, Isaiah because it feels much more natural for me than writing. I can write but I have to force myself to do that. Drawing feels easy and if it is what I'm supposed to do, I will do that.
Translations and lessons do not take up all my time, I still have enough space for drawing and painting.

You certainly have captured something of their essence Lenka!!

That is quite a talent you have kept under wraps..let alone the hardships borne....that have moulded you!!

It all makes you who you are and I for one wouldn't trade you for anyone else !! ha ha

Don't stop talented lady!!

R.

Lol, I wouldn't trade myself for anyone else either, Rami. Thank you very much for your compliments.

You are as ever not only most welcome but also very deserving!!

R.

Your drawings are wonderful. I agree with lucbizz, you should start selling them. Or, I'm thinking there are people who would love to send you a photo (via snail mail or email) of their dog and have you do a drawing for them.

Thank you Elaine, I'm starting to think about creating a website for my drawings and paintings.

Do it.πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ

I agree with Twack do it.

Time to think about the domain name then 😊

Thank you for the encouragement, Lisa!

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

Double do it.πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ€£

TRIPLE DO IT!

Crazy you 😊but I like it. Thinking about the domain name, for now my ideas are LenkaSophieDogs dot com or LenkaSophieDogSoul dot com.

The first one might get shortened to LSD dot com😜

😁That's interesting!

It might bring her a LOT of traffic!

lol. That would be far out man. Better than 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'

Indeed, it would, Twack!
