Excitement about my new baby
Hello and happy Sunday, my friends! This is going to be a very short post. Well, I know I always say that, or at least think that but this one really is just a shout of excitement.
I just want to share how thrilled I am about my new website. As you know from my last post, I registered a new domain on 1.1.2020. The date itself made me excited already.
I've been with WA for 3 months and my first website was meant to be for reviews. I started with a WA review, then I published a negative review about another program, then wrote about some language learning apps and a few reviews on money making programs and a bunch of other articles. The website is my name dot com and I'm keeping it for WA promotion.
However, I wanted a site with a name that would be niche related and something I would be passionate about. That's why I registered the new domain. I also think of it as sort of investment as the website value grows in time when you add content to it.
I've been working on it this weekend. After a research on keywords and two Jay's webinars I wrote my first article of....1270 words. Wahey! That's a huge progress for someone who usualy sweats a meagre 900 words.
It is so exciting when you write about something you are passionate about. The words flow easier. It still is a lot of work, I know. I still have to plan ahead and get down to writing instead of sitting at WA and reading posts of others for many hours. First work, then reward.
But I have a great feeling about it.
And I wanted to share it with my WA family!

Sounds great! I think you get into the habit of writing and the day does not seem complete without typing several hundred words.
I am trying to get the discipline of planning by blogging better for the next week. Trying to think of subjects to write about can be a challenge. Sometimes I can be too big and then have to split up a blog into two or three -
But I think I'm getting better!

I also started the new year with a new website, I'm working on this with my sister and it's interesting to see how she has been affected by the WA bug even as an outsider and that's without the full knowledge of this community - she has started dreaming of what she will add to the website and how she will shape it...

That is awesome, Jules! I'm glad your sister is infected as well :) This bug is very contagious. I've been infecting my boyfriend with it constantly!

Wow -- At first I thought you meant a human baby, and wondered if you had a child; adopted a child, or what? But, no, you are building a new child. I do indeed wish you luck. It's great to be excited about it, and your start date couldn't be more auspicious.
Yeah I know the title is a bit misleading, Fran :) It is my new born website, yes. Lots of work and lots of excitements at the moment!
Ironic headlines are very attention-grabbing. I read that in the OEC training that I was re-reading yesterday.

Congratulations on the new project and domain Lenka! I actually have a similar past. I created a niche website (got bored after 10 posts), then a WA/review site (got bored after 30 posts), then another niche site (got bored after 100 posts) that I worked on whole last year.
The last one is making actual money, not surprisingly. I have decided to focus on the WA/review site this year because I think the income potential is better and I have learned enough that I think I can produce actual value to my readers.
Oh that's nice that some else has similar experience, I sometimes feel like a fool :) I have another website from 2015, you know. But there is some progress, we can only get better, not worse :)

I have one from 2015 as well and the marketing site I actually bought in 2014. Been here from 2018. It's a process. Or so I keep telling myself...
That's what I keep telling myself! You have to get to the point when you decide about something. It can't be all done immediately. And we go through some personal changes as well :)
