Enjoy the present moment

Today on my way home I saw an accident, car upside down in ditch, firemen there, police was just arriving. It made me think.

We really should enjoy the present moment. Be grateful for all we have. Of course we have to

follow our dreams and goals but should also ENJOY THE NOW.

We have to learn to live in the present moment. One would think it is natural to do so but for many of us it isn't. We either dream about our future (that's my case), or live in the past thinking how nice it was earlier on or what we should have done or would have done.

I love dreaming. I love dreaming about my future home, my future life. I'm ready to wait for it and work for it. But I get caught up in work so much that I forget I should live every day as if it was a miracle. After walking my dog, I just start working and, with some small coffee and lunch breaks I work until the evening or night. Not much fun.

I also often work at the weekends. If there is a big translation I get offered, I take it and if it means I have to work all weekend, then be it. But that's also not much fun.

We all have to work. Some less, some more. But we should also have fun and do things that make us happy. Sit back and relax. Appreciate all what we have.

So make yourself your favourite drink.

Get yout favourite meal or open a bag with pistachio nuts :)
Light up a few candles.
Relax.
Breathe.
Realize how lucky you are.
You have everything you need.
You have WA.
Don't stress about what you don't have.
You have enough.

My favourite sentence don't stress about what you don't have. Instead focus on what you have. We have enough. 💪👌👍😊😁👏💯Enjoy every moment in our life start now this time this moment this second now I mean... Now.. Yes right now.

Absolutely Henry, we should enjoy every moment.

True - I'm motivated and ambitious when it comes to my dreams - but I have to remember to live in the 'here and now' and not worry about tomorrow.

Sometimes I even feel like I'm in a race between work, my side hustles, my dreams, and other things, that I need to step back, breathe and relax in the present moment.

Thanks for the post Lenka 😊

When I'm reading your sentences, it is as if you were talking about me :) All the same.
I think the holidays will bring us some relaxing time when we can feel the joy of the present moment more.

Hi, Lenka...

Love these steps:

(1) So make yourself your favorite drink.
(2) Get your favorite meal or open a bag with pistachio nuts :)
(3) Light up a few candles.
(4) Relax.
(5) Breathe.
(6) Realize how lucky you are.
(7) You have everything you need.
(8) You have WA.
(9) Don't stress about what you don't have.
(10) You have enough.

Great advice!

Doing at least 9 of 10 myself today as a matter of fact (minus the number 7, as I do not have EVERYTHING I need, but close enough!)...

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Dave : )

Oh Dave, I'm so glad you liked it. Looking at your summary, I'm thinking I should have put the numbers there too, it looks much better :) I know you don't have everything you need (yet). You will get your health back, I'm sure of that.
Happy holidays, my friend!
Lenka

You are absolutely 100% correct in your thinking. We can't work all the time. Two reasons, it's not good for us physical or mentally and two we lose touch with those that mean the most to us by pushing them into the background. Tonight I watched a movie with my brother. I have been working so hard to get things done before the holidays. We both have actually. It's the least I can do is spend a little time with him. He is letting me live with him rent free and won't let me help on anything. Others should be so lucky. All work and no play, makes for one lonely individual.

Charlotte

That was very nice of you, Charlotte, I think your brother knows you do appreciate him. You are right, if we only worked and did't spend time with our loved ones and friends, it would be a lonely life.

I agree 110% Lenka. Memories are great. Making memories is much more fun. That olive/meat tray looks so good. I can taste the wine and just add a good friend and you are making new memories.
That is quite a traffic jam at the top of the blog list this evening.
Christine, Heidi, you, me, and Janie at 2-6 positions. That is some good company.

Happy Holidays Angel and we are gonna rock in 2020.
Mark

Mark and the angels rock, right? :)
I'm gonna make some good memories this New Years Eve, have some nice plans for that time.
Have angelic holidays, dear friend!
