Can Boredom Kill You?

Hey, WAmily, how are on this beautiful Sunday? I want to share with you the thoughts I had on my morning walk. What about? Boredom.

I was translating a document for an advertising agency yesterday and there was a headline "Bust summer boredom!". It was all about a plan how to get people to the cinema in summer giving them some special scratch cards they can win with.

When I saw that, I thought: wtf is summer boredom? I have never been bored in my life. Even

if I didn't get involved with WA and didn't start my online business, I would still be reading and learning something.

There is so much to learn!

So many interesting things to read about!

When I was looking for the right words for my translation (and I use our friend google for double checking) I found that people even ask if boredom can kill you. Obviously not but it can make you depressed.

And this morning I thought of you WAers, working on your websites, watching Kyle's trainings and Jay's webinars and I knew none of you can be bored. So even if it was possible to die from boredom, we wouldn't have to worry :)

Learning is the fuel for our brain.

Learning and applying new things into practice feels so good.

Learning makes us grow.

Today I wanna complete and publish a new blog post and make a new video. Adding this WA post to it, it will be a nice and productive day. It always makes me happy to see some results.

Not every day are we able to be productive and sometimes we need some rest. That's natural and without relaxing we can't be productive in long term. I mean, we can but then we get burned out.

On our resting days we should go out with friends, watch a movie or enjoy doing nothing for a while to recharge our bodies.

What are your plans for Sunday?

Love

Lenka

Yes it can. If you get bored too many times it can make you feel depressed and make you think life is not worth living. Then it can make you think 'whats the bleeding point. I give up' Boredom succumbed you. Boredom has won and another pegged it happens. More boring in the grave? lol..

Boredom can surely make you feel depressed. Being productive and having plans to accomplish, one has no time to be bored.

Hi Lenka! Today I knew I needed to rest and not spend so much time online. It was a beautiful sunny day and I enjoyed listening to an audiobook as I walked... I know the route very well so don't feel too bad about doing something as I walk!
So true what you say about boredom. I watched my father's health decline rapidly after his retirement! I joined WA to create a successful business but I love that it is a great learning experience as well. I enjoyed this article thank you.

Sandra, I'm happy you enjoyed reading my article! Nice that you took time off computer, it is so needed to do that now and then.

Boredom certainly stifles your ability to be creative. To be totally created and that life flow in a flow from psychological collect perspective you have to be challenged to a degree. Not challenged enough that you will give up because it's too difficult but stretched enough to stretch your imagination and let you create new neural pathways

That's very interesting Catherine and it makes sense. Thanks for that!

I think this is all part of consumerism . Being Bored = Must buy our service or product. My kids are always saying “I’m bored what are we doing today”. Drives me crazy sometimes. I can’t think of anything more blissful than just doing nothing ! We try to have a family day each weekend and it really is the best. That’s Sunday for us

Thanks for sharing, Sass! You are right that it is the media that tell us we need this or that to be happy and we should look into ourselves to see what we really need.
Happy Sunday!

I can honestly say I’m never bored, but then I’ve always got a zillion thing in my head wanting to come to life. If I’m not writing, I’m cooking, hanging out with family or friends, taking the grandkids on adventures, drawing, taking photographs, exploring new places, etc, etc, etc. This Sunday I wrote a blog post, worked on the plot line of a novel I’m writing, went to the farmers market, hung out with family, planned three theatre trips and put the world to rights over a glass of red wine. Life boring? Never!

Kate, you are so busy! Amazing, writing a novel, that's something I could never do, at least I think I couldn't. A biography maybe, but to write a novel you must have big imagination and plan the plot. I admire you for that!
Thanks for sharing your plans and thoughts!
