My first sale
After joining the amazon affiliate for 3 months, I made my first sale, though the commison is not even 1US$, but that means a lot for me. My niche is about the educational toys. But today I also get the email from amazon, If I fail to sell 3 items in the next 3 months they will close my account. So I suppose i have to work more hard.

Yes if you don't make that first 3 sales they will close your account but the great thing is you can re-apply straight away the only drawback is you will get new affiliate links so any old ones would need to change.
Keep going forward I got rejected 3 times but finally got there.
