I wanna create one that collect emails too please help, my site is http://healthn

Also, make sure you get rid of the comment by Mr. Wordpress on the side widget:)

Landing pages have always been fun for me, but yes can be tedious. A few things I would highly recommend.

1. Pop ups can be annoying but they tend to convert much better then regular landing pages. http://www.winwithfred.com is where my pop up comes up. The one thing is I have it set to only come up once, so it does not annoy the visitor.
2. make it attractive, you can get backgrounds for free at http://www.wallpaperswide.com or google search and make sure they are free to use or share.
3. offer something as simple as a free report to get people excited. Make sure you deliver the report to them.
4. I highly recommend setting up a followup sequence of emails and not bombard them with just offers, teach them something. Build trust:)

I use Aweber and Getresponse at this point in time but they can become expensive.

Here is one more landing page I did for a program myself and my 2 friends are doing
http://profitmastercreator.com/teamone/ .

Always remember have fun making them but deliver what you promise.

MadMimi is pretty good and they provide good support. For a free service they are excellent. They have changed their terms and conditions lately because too many spammers were using their services, so they are't keen on affiliate marketers right now.

I use my MM list to get users coming back to my sites, I don't put affiliate links in the mails. If you get a complaint, you could get a big fine. All I do is try to engage with my list and let them know the latest updates at my site, and encourage them to visit.

also, not sure about you but I've never signed up to a floating email capture box, i find pop-ups like that pretty annoying.

@RICH the kettlebells site. is that yours?? it' an awesome website. I totally get it man I guess I have to wait a while, but I will keep working at it.

It's mine, and thanks. But remember everything at WA is *awesome* :)

I'll start with mailchip maybe but i feel ike the Aweber one is also awesome it's just the expense. Thanks @RICH. another thing the landing page bro, I am not sure if i am calling it the right waay but i need that kind of floating page that captures information when a visitor come to my site or maybe even just one page....without keeping it on the site

No probs. However, I'd check Mailchimp's exclusion list http://mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use/ to make sure you're not running the risk of them trying to "fine" you for misuse or deleting your account and lists without warning. I'm personally not a fan of popups, I've never filled one in myself and I usually "bounce" away from sites that use them. I think most people use the inbuilt embed from the service of their choice and add the sign-up box to the sidebar, as in this example of MadMimi's free one http://www.kettlebellexerciseswomen.com :) Rich.

You'll need to check the T&Cs; and see if you can use one of the "free" email services such as Mailchimp or MadMimi https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/setting-up-a-free-mailing-list-with-madmimi or whether your niche is caught by their exclusion lists https://madmimi.com/legal/terms If it is, then unfortunately, only the paid AWeber http://www.aweber.com service accommodates most of the niches that others exclude. It's $19 per month for your first 500 subscribers although there's a first month trial at $1. :) Rich.

Wow Rich i can honestly say you take care of me bro. Thanks that was very eye opening. I was actually convinced in a way that the pop ups work, but the way you lay it out i think i'll go for the embedding. Ok then what's best??? is it A Weber? I can start with the one dollar trial but i guess i really need to be ready with some good traffic up my sleeve.

If you can't use MadMimi or Mailchimp because of their exclusions, it unfortunately only really leaves AWeber. However, I wouldn't rush to do this unless you've got traffic that you think will signup to a newsletter, no point in paying $19 per month just to cater to half-a-dozen people. You'll probably need a campaign in place where you exchange something such as a downloadable PDF in exchange for their email address, ie. "get my 7 day diet guide", etc. to make it work. You also need to think carefully how you're going to use this list and how frequently, ie. once a week, once a month. I only email out a roundup once a month, otherwise people unsubscribe because they find weekly annoying. It's worth planning this out, before making the investment of $1 and then $19 per month thereafter! :) Rich.

Please view my website so far and help me improve it by giving an honest opinion and input.

It looks good. All your images when you click open a new tab. Opening another tab serve no purpose and letting your readers slip away. It's okay if those images has an affiliate links. Hope this helps...

WA Affiliate Program

wen does it reflect the amount of credit i have if i have been inviting people to join WA tough my affiliate link?

It's important that they use your affiliate link and they don't block cookies. Also, if they sign up from your computer, the same IP address (wifi network) or you log into their computer first to demo WA, then you won't "earn". It's to prevent scammers *gaming* the system. Your referrals also need to put up some bio on their My Profile page and upload a pic. :) Rich.

agin awesome and timeless @Rich. so they have to go through the whole process of signing up? i am asking because i can actually see that two friends I have invited signed up yesteday and this morning...So i was wondering if there's going to be a change in my credit as i have 2 inviteed. but i think i get it. @RICH you are the best.

Yup, unless they "complete" their accounts, you won't get the referral fee. It's too easy for people to use bots to create worthless accounts. It takes a "human being" to write some profile bio and upload a pic. :) Rich.

Just got premium am so excited... Question how do i make a sign up form to capture emails on my site?

True, true Kyle. Let me begin with that actually, my plan for today is to go through the boot camp affiliate classroom

Excellent, you will love the training over there :)

Congrats on going Premium Lelo, I look forward to working with you. And before you create a form, I would make getting traffic a priority which we will be running you through in the training. :)

@RICH you are amazing man. Thanks! :) I am on it.

LOL, no probs. You're most welcome! Rich.

Hi and welcome, both to WA and to Premium! There are a couple of free options such as MadMimi https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/setting-up-a-free-mailing-list-with-madmimi and Mailchimp. However, it depends on your niche whether you can use them as their Terms & Conditions exclude certain types of businesses and threaten fines for misuse, ie https://madmimi.com/legal/terms and http://mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use/ I know some Members are willing to run the "risk" but I've also known some who've had their lists deleted without warning and their domains blacklisted with spam blockers for breaking such terms. The majority of Members use AWeber due to these restrictions, http://www.aweber.com However, it's a paid service, starting at $19 per month, although there's a $1 month trial available. I recommend being extremely careful of a lot of other free options such as ListWire, they spam your lists with their own products and often include highly *inappropriate* advertising alongside your content. :) Rich.

thank @RICH very helpful. Do you maybe know how i can make downloadable link to a pdf book as a freeby to a member who signs up

You can simply upload the PDF to your site via the Media tab and add it to a page or post using the Add Media button when editing it. You then make that the "landing" page which a service such as AWeber returns the visitor to after they've completed the form. :) Rich.
