We will all say that the most important people today are of course our family and freinds> But what about outside that circle?
The photo has my middle daughter and my youngest daughter cooking a meal together. She had just moved into her own place ay the age of 18.
We are all here in order to learn how to build a business that helps others in our own unique way.
What Led Me To Help Others
My sight revolves around helping others who want to work from home, regardless of the reason to why they can't or don't want to work outside their home.
I chose this because my circumstances wouldn't allow me to work out of the home due to moving to a new state.
We knew no one. All my family and friends were back in the state we had just moved from. My children are school age and at the time it would not have been a good idea for them to be alone while I worked.
This led me to my search for an online opportunity to which is when I found WA. Going through the certification course, I was given the opportunity to promote Wealthy Affiliate.
What better way to help others like myself than to help them find the same opportunity that I now have?
I now have a website set up to help me do what I have set out to do. When I was accepted accepted into the Super Wealthy Affiliate Challenge I lost sight of what my "niche" was.
I believe I got my audience and niche mixed up. I started doing post on "work from home job opportunities" instead of the real niche "make money online".
However, I am actually glad this happened. I believe that by adding jobs that will enable my readers to still work from home, it will show them I AM honest about wanting to help them.
Lending A Hand In A Different Way
I have a FaceBook account set up in order to help my business get in front of the social world. Some of my friends are from WA and some are not.
I look at it like I need others to see my business in order to promote it. Since they are already members here it isn't going to help me "make money online".
My way of doing things may have paid off, but then again not. I had a reader reach out to me on a post for a job I had posted.
We messaged each other back and forth as she was not able to get into the actual websites for these jobs.
We have been communicating for 2 days now with no luck. She has clicked on the links through my sight, I have sent her the links directly and had her manually type the website name into her browser. She still insists, it will not work.
I have run out of ideas and have no clue how to help her. I have nothing to gain from this as most of the jobs I have written about, I did not see that they have affiliates.
Other than the satisfaction of getting this individual to where she was trying to go, I get nothing for going the extra mile.
Now, what should I do since I have failed in getting her to the job she wanted to check out? I can't ignore her, that isn't me.
Should I now bring up Wealthy Affiliate to her? Should I suggest a place where she can build her own business?

You can access the website you want her to access so you know the site is working. She is doing something wrong and you have not been able to help her.
My next step would be to hold a webinar one-on-one with her. I use Zoom.com because it is free and because all your friend needs to do is paste the link in her browser and follow instruction. Log in is simple.
Share your screen with her and show her the exact steps you use to access the site. If you want to practice using Zoom PM me and we can set up a Webinar betweem us.

Unfortunately, she (the one I was trying to help) has not responded in 2 days, so I assume there is nothing for me to help her with now.
I did reach out to her, so she knows I am still willing to help.
As for Zoom, How do you utilize it in regards to your website/business?

Hi Lee, you have a wonderful family!...I had a new grandson born just last week!...amazing how incredible little babies are!..Anyway I am sorry you are having problems with the link.. The first thing you can do is try the link yourself and see if it will go to the site. Then if it does..send an email to yourself with the link embedded inside it. try clicking the link, you now know the link works if it goes to the website, so send her the same email just forward it to her or write another one with the embedded link and that should solve that problem..on the other hand if she is still having problems after she gets the link from you then ask her to try another browser..just copy the link to it.. does she uses windows or is a Mac...but try this first.
Great advice Gus and congrats!! Babies are so much fun especially grandchildren. You get to enjoy them, watch them grow , plan all the things you want to do with them and teach them. Being a grand parent is being a parent the second time around, except you get to spoil them and then send them home : )
As for the one I am trying to help, if she replies I will definitely try to email her.
I have made sure that all the links work. However, I didn't think to see what browser she was using.
I will definitely use your advice if I can get her to reply.

You've asked three questions:
1. You want to know if you should promote WA to one of your readers.
I don't think you need anyone's approval to do this, since you are a WA affiliate already, who is operating an online business promo niche. Are you worried about something else? Are you concerned that your advice may seem like redirection because the other link isn't working?
Keep in mind also, that although you are creating an information product (your blog and SM), you are not a registered job agency. You provide information to help people make decisions. You're not an employment agency.
I also can't tell from here if your reader has issues accessing the link because the site is blocked within their country, or if it's maybe an attempt to get you to provide extra service you're not set up to provide. I have experience of this as a researcher: where others learn I know how fix database issues, they frequently reach out for help and I'm happy to spare a moment.
But once in a while, I hear white-lies from people who claim things are 'not working' when in fact they are working fine, and said researcher is just trying to get me to do their work for them. It's a little sneaky. The conversation usually ends after I ask them to describe the error, or to follow idiot-proof instructions.
I offer that last little detail to you as someone who's given up years of work for charity and volunteering. Volunteers are tireless and altruistic and it seems nothing bad can come of volunteering for good causes. Even so, there is not just a risk of burnout due to over-service, but exploitation of your desire to do good in the world. Carefully bound your efforts to help others so this doesn't occur.

3. My family. Their welfare and future is determined by all the choices I make, good or bad.

Thank you very much. You definitely gave me something to think about.
What you have said about white lies, may just be where she was going, I just don't understand what work it would be that she was trying to get me to do. I had already done the research and written the post.
However, I found it very hard to understand why she couldn't type the name of the job she was referring to, into her own browser and search for it.
She also asked what she should do once she got into the site, if she were to get it to work.
This was also included in my post. I find it hard to believe she would not know. But I was giving her the benefit of the doubt.
I am known for trying to see the good no matter if the bad is staring me in the face.
This has gotten me in a little trouble with getting taken advantage of.
I really appreciate the time you put into the advice and your help.

If I understand correctly she can not open the website but you can.
Can you copy the website content and mail it to her?
You can get the company name where the job was advertised, give it to her and she may be able to reach out to HR or hiring manager of the company?
She might be able to go to their website herself.

I have tried advising her of everything you have mentioned.
I believe that there may be a miscommunication somewhere due to maybe a language difference.
I have asked to see what country she was from, but she didn't answer. She may have not seen the question.

Communication can be a big barrier.
One more thought. If you could email and write her to google translate your mail to her language. Not sure if this will work also.
Try the story-telling way.
Acknowledge the problem, write about your own experience, and how you dealt with it, explain your solution.
It might work for her too

I would suggest WA just to see what she thinks. Maybe online work isn't for her but you have at least opened the door. She may say no today but come back in a few days, you just never know. "Don't leave money on the table"

Not far enough down the line yet to have a site to promote WA. But when in Normandy discovered a fellow traveller, who was into web sites, so sent him the link and he is a starter. So I do promote when I can as I agree with you we have to help people.
