Making Money Online is Easy and ANYONE Can Make It Rain Money!
All you need is my super-duper "SECRET" Business In a Box Turnkey Money Machine System... and YOU TOO can be instantly wealthy beyond belief - all while knowing nothing about anything that matters and doing even less!
Isn't that great!
Except it isn't - Because It Simply is NOT True!
The internet is both good and bad. Just like most other things in life.
While it is an incredible and powerful resource that can allow you to educate yourself and to start, build and grow your own successful online business - and help you in so many other ways too - it can also lead you astray, steal your money, and even damage or destroy your life too.
While it is TRUE that you can make money online, and even eventually get some of that passive income everybody keeps talking so much about - the reality is that it is not going to be as fast or as easy or as passive (especially in the beginning!) as everybody keeps saying it is.
Outright false and other inflated claims of "Passive Income" call out from every crack and crevice of the web enticing you.
Yet more often they are just blatant false promises to lure you in so they can rob you blind.
The most common lies and misleading promises, statements, and enticements regarding Passive Income include the following elements and topics;
1. Passive Income Definition - What most people are running around all over the digital world aka the internet, and calling "PASSIVE INCOME" is NOT passive at all! It requires a crap ton of WORK upfront (such as building sites, blogs, content, YouTube channels, online courses, writing books, inserting links, etc) and there is nothing passive about any of that. So saying that it is "passive income" without further explanation is a LIE.
The truth is that you can earn passive and semi-passive income eventually but only AFTER ACTIVE WORK. Even then there is almost always SOME work still required and that means it is still NOT passive income - but merely Semi-Passive (my definition - meaning some work and some passive income after the work is done).
2. Instant or Immediate or Fast Income - Many programs, Guru's and other people sell blatantly misleading time frames that are not realistically possible for 90+ percent of real people in the real world - and they fully know that. The things they promise are neither attainable nor replicable at any scale for most people. They are dishonest (Liers) and they seek to prey upon desperate people instead of trying to make a fair profit in exchange for fair value given. In other words, they are more concerned about TAKING vs Giving value.
The truth is that most people are going to have to work very hard for many weeks and months - and even longer - before they begin to see any significant income (meaning something that is equal to or in excess of income earned from a job for the same amount of time and effort). Most people are misled about this - and because of it, they will QUIT long before they get anywhere close to making any real money online.
3. Secret Information - The claim is that the author, content creator, instructor, coach, mentor, or influencer somehow has some SECRET information that you need and that they have - for a price.
The truth is that the biggest secret is THERE ARE NO SECRETS!
Everything that you ever need to know or want to know about making money online, business, and entrepreneurship is codified in numerous places and is already available in multiple formats from multiple sources online and in print in books and articles!
Just FYI - I spent more than a decade of my life in charge of REAL SECRETS - meaning things that were actually being intentionally hidden, controlled, and kept from you and from others because they were in fact SECRETS!
But in the online world that term is misused every day - why? Because it sells!
I may even use it as a keyword and in titles here and there myself - because that is what people want and expect - but within seconds I will also explain the true meaning and use - which is just to get your attention (when used fairly) and then on to the point that there are no real secrets to business online or off. There are only things you know now and things you don't yet know and you need to learn...
The problem is not when it is used as an "attention getter" - but rather when some crooked people use it to deceive and to scam people out of their hard-earned money knowingly and intentionally to defraud them.
The idea I want you to get out of so-called SECRETS is that there are two ways it is used online - one is to get your attention - as I mentioned and as a marketing ploy which is OK SO LONG AS you understand that is what it is.
The other way is not cool - and that is as an intentional and deceptive method to prey upon and mislead people to take money (Scam) from them based on LIES and other intentionally misleading information.
Why Does It Matter?
Realistic expectations.
When people (You, Me, and Everyone else) have access to clear and accurate information then we have a better chance of making better decisions that are in our own best interests.
When people lie - they lead others astray and to failure, and anyone doing that is practicing deceptive and predatory methods and tactics - and that is a very bad thing when you are on the receiving end of it.
At best you will lose money and time - but eventually, figure it out and move on through it. At worst it will influence you to stop trying and give up on your dream of building a real business and a better life.
Call me old fashioned, or whatever you like - but I do NOT like that!
That is a real shame when it happens - and it happens every single day online!
Find Something Real and Be Realistic About Your Approach
Take Wealthy Affiliate for example...
When you join WA you are repeatedly told this is NOT a get rich quick business.
You are told repeatedly that it will take TIME.
You are also told repeatedly that it will take WORK.
You are also told that IF you learn what you need to learn (which is what is taught here!) AND that IF you CONSISTENTLY DO THE WORK that it WILL eventually begin to pay off for you too!
How much and how soon is dependent on YOU! But it is possible and it will happen - in time... but once again only if you actually do all that is required to make it happen.
No guru is going to hand you anything on a silver platter - nor is anyone else going to do your work for you.
Your Life - Your Choice My Friend. So Choose Your Own Course...
A. Hard Work Now - So you can enjoy the rewards later
B. Guru Secrets - Promising Easy Wealth Now - Good luck with that!

Wouldn't it be great if everyone getting into online business is made to read this lol- I took a long time doing research before taking the plunge. Yet I almost got scammed several times but got out every time, luckily. So I knew straight away how much work was required otherwise everyone will be doing this. So much work especially like me if you have more than one site and set up your mind to only provide value through work and expect nothing back for many a month/year. Obviously that is not appealing to most but it is indeed the way if you want to stay in this for long and not give up along the way.

I agree with you too - it takes work over the long haul - and focusing on adding value first and getting paid later (which is the exact opposite of what too many attempt!) and that requires discipline.
And you are right - that is not appealing to some, never the less it is the price of success - and in the end, it always comes back to the choices people make and the actions they take.

Funny thing about “secrets”, as soon as a “would be” entrepreneur flashes up on my screen, by way of You Tube or email and they use the immortal words.... “I’m going to share the secrets that the Gurus (or similar) don’t want you to know” is my cue to leave, it’s both annoying and misleading.
In fact these days I find it more than annoying, I just hope these gurus spent a lot of money on their adverts and fail dismally...
I spend a lot of time watching and reading about people who have made a success of their life by sheer grit and determination, I find their stories inspiring and it encourages me to continue on my journey.
But for a time and in the very early days the liars and the charalans did kinda hook me in.
However one day I found WA and I met people like you LD. This is perhaps the secret that the gurus don’t share...🤗👍

Execellent as ever and the only SECRET will be exposing the term SECRETS that so many so called guru's use. If its so good why are they not using it themselves? Building a brand and hard work is the the key, unfortunately its in the open arena in terms of knowledge like WA but we still get tempted by the SECRET. Its like the law of attraction, its great as the mind is powerful however many forget the missing bit , take action. Love it! Phil
I couldn't agree more! This is a lesson I'm still trying to recover from. Very much an eye opener as to how some people are inside. It takes a certain kind of person (snake in the grass) to knowingly and willingly do such things to another human being. It angers me and yet still sad in some way. Pathetic to have no conscience is to have no soul in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this LD. I think it helped to vent about it some. The Dirty Rats! Lol seriously

Absolutely love this post. I have been scammed many a time over the years and although I have not yet made a penny from WA I actually feel like I am working and building something that I believe in-a feeling that I have never had before with internet marketing. A little reassurance wouldn't go a miss though as I am literally working my ass off!!! Will I eventually make money?? Will success come?? I now have had every post that I have written ranked in google and am writing and interacting everyday and have lots of interaction on my site. I am now on my second site but not taking any time away from my first at all. Any advice is more than welcome!!!

On advice - I would recommend that you keep doing what you are doing and stay consistent with it - and yes that is HARD to do...
Schedule your WA community interaction time and limit it (so it doesn't eat up your production time like social media can).
Part of that time you do schedule should be to read posts of other people you like who have accomplished what you aim to accomplish and let their stories and their words inspire and encourage you when you feel like quitting (and possibly like throwing the computer out the window and into the yard ; )
Ask for help when you need it - and GIVE help when you can...
I look forward to reading your posts and hearing about your progress - and remember this is the long game if you want success (months and years vs hours and days).
