Life Has Its Challenges

No matter who you look at as a model or as a source of encouragement for your business or your life, they have all had to overcome incredible challenges to achieve the success that they have.

From Bruce Lee to Jim Rohn, to Napoleon Hill to any person you choose - they all have their own history of overcoming challenges.

Before they became who they became - and who the world now knows as their name - they were just people - people with vision and drive and dedication to follow their own dreams toward their own goals of building a better life.

It all started as a vision - and more basic than that - as an idea - a thought.

From that, they nourished it, fed it cared for it, and over time built it into what has been called a "burning desire". For some, it became a raging internal inferno... something so foreign to most people the very concept would be incomprehensible.

When others told them they were crazy - they ignored them all.

When obstacles - including other people got in their way they overcame them all. They either went around or through them to get to their objectives.

They failed many times over.

But they never quit.

This separates all the great from the masses of averages because most people do the opposite, they fail and they quit at the slightest resistance they encounter - and there is always resistance... always.

The Vision Before You is Not Always the Reality

Why does any of this matter?

Why should it matter to you?

Because when you know better what to really expect in the real world of business and life - then you increase the odds of achieving your own success.

You improve the chances that you will be able to get back up after failures and defeats that occur and to get back in the arena and keep on working toward your obsession, your own destiny of your own choosing.

When you have those dark hours and those times when you feel like just deleting your site and giving up, or shuttering the doors of your brick and mortar business because it is too hard - remember this - and remember them too...

Remember them all.

Create your own list of people that inspire you - learn their backstories and learn about the mountain of challenges they overcame - so that as you face your own hills and challenges you can use their success to help you achieve your own.

Have a great day today my friend, and make it count!

Best regards,

L.D. Sewell

We can learn so much from children who have to persevere to learn to walk or ride a bike.
Anything worth doing requires perseverance to move from doing it badly to doing it well.
Many adults give up after a few attempts or don't even try.
Any successful person has equipped themself mentally for the inevitable difficulties or failures along the way.
Failing at times does not mean being a failure in life.
I believe every successful person has failed at something at some time; they just don't let the failure define them.

Rick

All true Rick - and another trait that can also be beneficial is the ability to ignore rude and or malicious people. There are plenty of people who are bitter and obnoxious (or excessively self-righteous) who can be impediments to progress - but only if they are allowed to be.

That last line in your comments is especially important - "...don't let failure define them" and I would add to that - don't let anyone else define or limit your success either.

Well said as always L.D.

Life is never easy, but if we are unsuccessful doing one thing, it doesn't mean we will be unsuccessful trying something different.

The only way we fail, is when we quit and stop trying at all.

Enjoy a fabulous day my friend!:-)

Thanks for the comments - and I hope you have a great day also!

Much appreciated L.D.

As we are human, we will have those times we are going to feel life is just too hard. Thanks for the reminder that it will get better.
What we do during this time determines the rest of the journey.
