Adequately Functional and Done is 10000 Times Better Than Perfection that Never Happens

Ever meet a grammar Nazi?

I have.

I do NOT like them very much at all either.

Neither does anyone else.

Over the course of the years of my life so far - I have read thousands of books. Guess how many have been perfect - and totally error-free?

NONE!

I have read tens of thousands of posts and articles. Most have errors.

Every book I have ever read and every course I have ever taken has had errors and imperfections in it.

Yet they all existed and they all provided VALUE to my life. So as far as I am concerned they were and are all just fine.

Get It Good Enough to Convey Your Information, Your Ideas, and Your Stories and LAUNCH IT!

I know people who have spent years fiddling with a book or course or other work -and yet no one else even knows it exists other than them and perhaps their own family and maybe a small group of close friends - but the world doesn't have access to their work because they won't let it go!

I do not suffer from that affliction and I never will - and nor should you!

Not if you want to make money - and I make money each and every single month from my imperfect works.

I have written numerous books and published dozens of courses - and I get paid every single month - month after month after month. As I create and publish more specialized information products (books, courses, etc.) I make more and more money - because I create and launch stuff out into the world.

I do NOT care about it being perfect.

Why?

First of all, because perfection is elusive and very hard to obtain - and even then it is subjective in most cases. That makes it damn near impossible to truly achieve in the first place.

Secondly - from a business point of view - it is also not necessary!

A product just needs to add value - that's all. If it can do that then it is beneficial to others and it can be profitable to you.

That's my two cents anyway...

So do as you choose to do, but do consider what I just shared with you. It might mean the difference in whether you ever make a living at this or not...

Best regards,

More people like passion than prose. Nice comments.
Thanks

This is a good philosophy to live by. We will never please everyone, and we do not need to.

Alex

Whilst I agree with you, I see far too many pieces of writing with basic errors that a simple check could fix. If I'm on a site littered with errors I leave. I think there needs to be a balance. Imperfect is fine, sloppy work isn't.

That of course makes sense - and it is good to check for errors - to a point.

But after about three passes - just let it go and move on. That's what I do and it works for me.

But as I always say - everyone must Choose - just choose wisely and hopefully do better as a result ; )

Perfection keeps changing shapes and colors. I agree on getting your help out there! Someone needs your help, even that we consider less than perfect.
Thanks, Sami

Halfway raises my hand, then drops it....grin.
I have to catch myself as I'm apt to see the error and want to correct it.
