As a total newbie, I'm really unsure of what to look for when choosing a WP Theme for my site. I read the post by Alpina (
All of your content will be there. If you have any coding you added to your site on your own that will have to be redone. What I do is save any custom codes to google docs so I dont have to figure it out again. If you have a logo you may have to redo that because many themes have different formatting.
Thanks Mrrandom. I appreciate the help. Since I have no idea how to do coding, I don't think I'll be worrying about that for a while, but it's great to know how to save it if I do learn to code. Thanks again.

Hi, it is hard to choose, you will most likely change your theme a time or two.... ALWAYS back up your site before you do that, update, add or delete plug ins etc... I like the basic site look, that is easy to use for me and my visitors, too many bells and whistles is too busy for me. i would choose one that is "responsive" so that it can be viewed on all kinds of devices and still look good. I am using suffusion, and really like the layout, and its easy to use. Don't get too hung up on the theme , you will probably change it a couple of times as you learn more and get more experience.... pick one that is 'responsive' easy to use and that you can work with easier, then concentrate on the lessons and creating quality content .... hope this helps a little bit :-)
Hi Digger,
I don't want a lot of the bells & whistles either - at least certainly not to start with. I also like a site that is easy for visitors to navigate and clean looking. I am looking for one that is "responsive" and "SEO ready". My site will be mainly a blog to begin with, but I don't want it to LOOK like a blog, if that makes sense. I'll also be having "guest authors" - is there something special that I should be looking for in a theme that easily allows that? I don't know what it would be called so it's difficult to search the themes for it. :(
I'm going to check out the Suffusion theme, since it seems that we like similar theme attributes.
Thanks again, Digger, you were really helpful. Much appreciated! :-)

What do i look for in a wp theme?

I used Iconic one theme and this was recommended by Carson from here. It,s very simple and easy to navigate and looks nice and clean with not too much going on.

When I share an affiliate link to FB, do people see and/or have access to all the tools on the sidebar and do they see the comments? I tested it, but I'm not sure if I see what
I think they should.Do you mean by copying the url at the top and pasting it to it,s destination, you are wondering whether they will see the different coloured buttons down the left, the pic and questions and answers down the right side.If that is what you are referring to then the answer is yes.
As far as I know when you paste an affiliate link into face book whenever the person clicks on it then it will take them to where the web page is.Where did you sign up to as this will be the page the customer is taken to.Does this answer your question.
Oh, I think you're right Mark. I should have been more concise asking my question. As an example, if I want to share a blog post that Kyle created and I use that link, will the person viewing the blog (the link) see the sidebar and all the comments. Hope that makes more sense. Thanks Mark.

This is more of a curiosity and I'm sure there are as many opinions as there are people, but what characteristics make someone a successful internet marketer? Do people feel ce
Be sure to have a big dream and a reason and passion to be here at WA!
If you know the "Why are you doing it?" the "How to do it" will be a bit easier . . .
Refusal to give up after each failure until you have success than not giving up once hit next failure until next success. As long as keep trying sooner or later you hit success.
