The Wealthy Affiliate Decision

Last Update: January 12, 2018

So, before I joined WA I looked into multiple different options for making a bit of extra cash, social media influencer, part time jobs and medical trials. The one option which I did start to get drawn into was Digital Altitude, where I signed up to a 7 day free trial.

Now Digital Altitude for those who don't know is a high ticket affiliate marketing company, selling online marketing training, with an affiliate programme offering large commissions. Sounds good right...wrong! To enable you to earn these large commissions you need to purchase the expensive courses which are tiered, with the top level course costing almost $30,000, before you can earn any commission from selling them. Not to mention the monthly fee to continue being a part of the Digital Altitude programme!

Personally I didn't continue with Digital Altitude as I didn't believe in the morals of the company, so cancelled before any money had left my account. It felt as if you were just another potential source of income to the company and any training given was either a sales pitch for their products or just how to sell them. So with this view I felt it would be extremely difficult to try and get other people to sign up and part with their hard earned cash for a dream lifestyle which very few in the company actually achieve.

After this decision I researched other online training programmes through multiple reviews by people and one programme name kept cropping up...Wealthy Affiliate! Now I've joined I can definitely see why so many people are recommending WA, the services on offer are more than any other programme I found and the community that comes with it is just an added bonus!

Hi Liam!

We just got connected on Live Chat regarding setting up and monetizing our newish Instagram Accounts!

Must say, good choice all round to get out of the clutches of Digital Altitude! Very much a scam in my personal opinion!

WA will treat you right!

Hi Barb,

Yes, I'm so glad I didn't commit any money on it!

I'll get my follow me on links set up shortly so we can connect on Instagram. I'm also planning on using your training to create an online video presentation to try and boost some interest :)

Hi Liam

I appreciate the support regarding checking out my Training Video Hack - I simply just used my iPhone and some Powerpoint slides...I have some other Trainings on How to Earn Commissions utilizing WA & Jaaxy...I'd appreciate any comments or likes....I am more than happy to reciprocate once you get up and running!

I think it's helpful to help each other here at WA but noone seems to do this - I understand the avoiding self-promoting to other outside websites etc but we should be able to assist each other with likes and comments here within WA?

If I am bothersome in any way just tell me and I will sod off! LOL!

Hi Barb,

I'll have a look at the other training as well and comment any feedback I may have on them :)

I agree, we're all here for the same reason, so we should help each other to achieve our goals together!

Bothersome? Haha, nobody is bothersome on here, I just appreciate all the help and guidance people are willing to give!

Welcome!
I too have tried Digital Altitude back in the days and after the first 6 free lessons I also decided to stop. It was impossible for me to come up with the amount of money they needed for me to continue.

Wealthy Affiliate is the best! Packed with information for you to learn, very supportive community if you get stuck and very affordable (if you decide to upgrade to premium). The benefits you'll gain certainly out weighs the price.

And that's why I'm still here even months after joining. Good Luck! I wish you all the best.

Thank you! I would imagine there is a lot of people who stop after those first 6 lessons once they tell you the price.

Hi LChase nice to meet you. I am a newbie and still in the learning process. But I will only join the WA team until 24 January. So I am afraid I don't think I will learn everything I have to learn in such a short period.

Hi Bev,

That's a shame to hear, why will you not be joining us for longer? I think you could be with WA for years but still be learning something new everyday, but as long as you learn the framework I'm sure you'll be on the road to success.

Liam

Hi LChase I am from Namibia. Our money currency is very low.
$1 = between N$12.55 and N$14.00 (Namibian Dollar) I already
spend more than N$1000.00 on programs and software but until
now I have a lot of programs which I don't know how to use and you don't get any help. And some of the money on line schemes
is scams because they just use your debit or credit card details again without asking you if you are interested to give it a go for another month. So I am very skeptical with money on line schemes. I am sick and tired to listen and read articles of every body claims that their success story is the best, Once they have your email address the emails is keeps coming in. I already unsubscribe more than 1000 and there are another 870. If you have questions about something they don't even reply. May be I must write a blog about this money on line schemes because I think most of them is scams. So forgive me if I say I don't think this
is working for me. I don't want to make other people rich in selling
their products. I want to do blogging but their is not really money in blogging. My main goal was to make a DVD of my eldest son which is in a wheelchair. How he goes on with his life. Tips for the
people in a wheelchair to make their and their lives more comfortable and things I create which also can make disabled peoples lives comfortable. So you see I care. It is not always about the money.

I agree there are a lot of schemes out there, but I do think there are some that really work. If people are looking to buy a specific product, then why shouldn't we try and get a share of what would just be going to a big company anyhow?

Could you combine the idea of a blog and DVD by creating a vlog showing the daily difficulties that your son has to overcome?

Liam

WOW Vlog this is the first time I ever heard of it. But anyway whatever I decide it all depends on how much money I have to give out on the DVD.I thought of com binding but
will the money income worth the while. I am doing bookkeeping
from home for small companies and my husband is a pensioner.
So I cannot get any financial backup from him. So I will see where
my dream leads me.

A vlog is a blog that is done with videos, so it would be the perfect mix if your blogging and DVD ideas :)

Of course there is Bev, you just need to find the right products to tie into your blog/vlog :)

Hallo LChase thanks for the reply. No it has nothing to do with products. My son is in a wheelchair and I was planning to make a DVD about his life. And to inspire other people in his position not to give up. And want to share some advice and tips to make their life easier. But unluckily I have to leave WA because of reasons
beyond my control. Enjoy your journey with the WA team.
