Dear Sir/Mdm,

Please be informed the Login button at the centre of my Home page has not been working for the past week. Despite clicking it nothing happened & repeat

Yes, I think contacting support directly would be far better. Jim

Which login are you referring to? Logging into WA? I just tried and it's working fo me...

Logging into WA via central login button not working for me...will send a ticket to Support. Thanks

Hi,
I was trying to load a 0.2MP thumbnail into gallery in NexGen. It kept saying http error & cannot be loaded while the other pics can be loaded smoothly at the same t

Hey Lawrence,

Not sure if you are describing WHERE you are trying to upload the thumbnail image you are referring to (see screen prints below).

However, if you meant that you are trying to upload an image to your WA hosted WP website, then that I may be able to offer you help with.

If so, then the following video may offer you the help you seek: Hope you find this helpful.

Hi,
Thanks for your help. I was using the NexGen plugin in WP to add galleries in my site hosted in WA. I moved the affected pics to another folder & uploaded them again...it works! Your video is helpful.

Regards
Lawrence

Hey Lawrence,

Thought Marion's video instructions made it unnecessary to use a plugin:

Hi,
I was already using NexGen plugin before I saw ur video. Moreover as I'm using the Gutenberg block editor (not the standard Classic Editor which video is using) I do not see the menu in the video & need to use NexGen plugin which is a very good plugin for galleries.

I presume you're using the standard Classic Editor which I find not user friendly especially in arranging the text & images the way you want it. You should try out the Gutenberg plugin which is a block editor arranging everything in blocks which makes layout, editing, images, etc so much easier. And there are many many more features you can play around with to improve your layout as compared to the Classic Editor. Give it a try...you will then understand why I'm saying it's much better than the Classic Editor (which is the default editor given to new user).

Lawrence

You presumed correctly Lawrence, I do use the Classic Editor.

Having learned website design when HTML was the ONLY code to use and then moved up to using CSS once that was introduced, I found WordPress very frustrating to use in the beginning.

Same as I did when learning computers beginning with DOS 3 moving to DOS 5 and then up to Windows 3.1 ... and then again to Windows95.

Am not a fan of being made feel though my hands are tied behind my back and told to go ahead, it's more user friendly now... and that is what I feel like when too many layers of code are put in place for us to use.

LOL... I know... sounds weird... right?

Hi,
I've just learned from the lesson how to add an affiliate link to text or pic in my post. If there are several sites selling the same product, how do i add 2 or 3 links

Hi - Bianca has given some good advice, but also bear in mind, it is recommended to only have 1 affiliate link for every 500 written words.

Hi Lawrence,
@BvVugt has the best answer for you.
All the best

You can only add one link to a picture. You can add a link to every word in your text, but only one link per word. It's the same with pictures: one picture is like one word and can only redirect to one link.

It would be very confusing too, for your visitors, to be redirected to multiple websites by clicking on one picture.

If I were you and wanted to redirect people to several websites, I'd make sure to explain it in the text. For instance:

"So far I've given you the pro's and con's for Product X. Now let's talk about where to get it. I've selected a few trustworthy brands that sell Product X. I'd like to recommend Brand A, Brand B and Brand C."

Then hyperlink the brands with your affiliated links. And if you can add some extra information per brand, for example about why it's good to buy there.

Good luck!
