Together We Rise at Wealthy Affiliate

While reading and replying to the comments on my last post, I got to thinking this morning about just how important the community at Wealthy Affiliate has been to me these past two years.

Some of the benefits are easy to quantify and qualify, like my Site metrics for example.

Google Analytics Stats Tell the Story

When I go to Google Analytics - Aquisition - Referral, Wealthy Affiliate is my no. 1 Traffic source by far for the last year.

Sheer Number of Comments on my Posts

I have waaaaay more comments from Wealthy Affiliate members than organic comments, e.g. comments from:

• people finding my post via google search
• from friends and family
• online connections
• social media
  

I would estimate at least 90% of my comments are directly from Wealthy Affiliate using the Site Comments Tool or Site Comments Give and Take Thread.

Quality of Comments from WA Members

The quality of these comments are of course also way better than organic comments because WA members have been trained on how to comment. i.e.

• To comment about the content of the post rather than giving vague website feedback.
• To answer a question posed in the post or in the summary at the end of the post.
• To ask a question pertaining to the post to keep the conversation going.
  

Just a note on comments to newbies: Please keep your comments POSITIVE.

There is a rare exception to this rule. Some posts are wildly controversial and clearly written to spark an argument or debate online. Starting an argument is one of the quickest ways to drive traffic to a site and some bloggers like using this tactic.

Simple Rule:

If you don't like the post or resonate with what's being said, if you've got nothing positive to say, simply move on and comment on another post.

Generally being negatitive, argumentative or confrontational will not get your comments approved by a website owner.

Think of it in terms of your own site. Would you approve unkind comments? Would they benefit your site? Would they build trust with your readers?

Remember, every rule at Wealthy Affiliate is there to benefit or protect you.

Income from Wealthy Affiliate Members

Wealthy Affiliate has strict Anti-Spam rules in place to protect us from being solicited all the time on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

Yet of course, there is nothing to stop us from making friends here and offering to help our friends out when we can.

I have been on the receiving end of immense kindness here at Wealthy Affiliate a number of times. Here are a few examples:

• When I blogged about being kicked out the Amazon program due to lack of sales, one of my Wealthy Affiliate friends, Jessica @Swangirl gave me my first Amazon sale.

• Ariel @ ArielHarris7 hardly knew me when she commented on one of my posts in the Site Comments Tool and bought an ebook I was promoting on that post.
  

• Lynne @LynneHuy has become a personal friend (we are in phone contact) and been the source of inspiration for most of the income I've earned online thus far.
  

Since I started making some money, I've also had the immense privilege of being able to be on the giving end as well.

• I have been able to pay a Wealthy Affiliate member to write posts for my sites.

• I have been able to buy a product on Amazon via someone's Amazon link in order to help them qualify for commission. (I still have some Amazon credit if anyone needs this kind of help right now).

• I have been able to pass on the tips I learned from Lynne and give others the chance to make money in the same way we do.

Community Support Benefits

Then of course there are countless ways I have benefitted that are not easy to quantify or qualify. For example:

Endless Learning

I have learned so much here at Wealthy Affiliate. Not only via the official training but also from the Training and Tutorials all of YOU have created via the Open Education Project.

• I've learned so much by asking questions.
  
• I've learned so much by answering questions.
  
• I've learned so much on Live Chat.
  
• I've learned so much in Site Comments and Site Feedback.
  

The entire environment is a stage set to help us learn and grow and develop.

Endless Inspiration

In the same way, I've been inspired by member's blogs and tutorials to:

• try new things or
• try new ways of doing things.
  

The online environment is so vast and there are so many, many different ways to build an empire, so many different ways we could design our websites and so many different ways to monetize.

Each of our brilliant Top members has followed a slightly different path and there is so much to learn from them.
