Heya Everyone

On Tuesday I published my 3rd Tutorial on Wealthy Affiliate due to popular demand.

My Tutorial Went Viral

Who knew that so many members are craving information on how to earn money blogging?

I was astounded at the instant and overwhelming response.

You just never can tell what's going to go Viral, can you?

What I learned from an Unintentional Mistake

Funny things happen when you're a Mom Blogger. You have pockets of time in your day when you can attend to your online business. So you have to work when you can, where you can.

Sometimes this means you're sharing a post on your smartphone while sitting in the parking lot waiting for the school bell to ring or answering a comment in the queue at the till to pay for groceries.

So on Monday, I finished my Tutorial at Ninja Bean Cafe while my 4-year-old was doing his Ninja Zone class. I hit publish just before we headed home in rush hour traffic.

By the time we got home I had about 13 comments on my Tutorial already and they were kinda hilarious and embarrassing... here's a smattering of them...

Eek! I only published Page 1!

And I'm sending my readers dilly. (Literally - according to Adam @ahuff2012).

Panic Stations!

This is one of those times where I was really grateful to have a husband who cooks. He got on with the dinner while I set to work to find out what I'd done wrong.

I tried republishing each page individually, I tried contacting Site Support - my question wasn't about my website so I could only ask the Community.

And then Joe @newmarketpro came to my rescue by telling me to clear my cache and try again.

It worked! Thanks again Joe!

What did I learn?

Well of course I learned yet again what a great Community we have here at Wealthy Affiliate. Thanks to all of you for pointing out my mistake so quickly (and so gently).

And I also learned...

A New Strategy:

State the problem and hold back on presenting the solution.

Especially if it's a problem a lot of people are grappling with...

This mistake was completely unintentional... but I may just use it in an email campaign or on my website sometime because it was actually very effective.

Thanks to You... For the first time ever (as far as I know) one of my Tutorials made it to Position 1 in the Top 10 Training at Wealthy Affiliate. And I was delighted to see that my Tutorial helped PJ Germain's Moz Training pop back on the board too.

Keyword Choice

My Keyword is not doing so well yet. My post hasn't ranked on Google or Bing yet for the Keyword I chose: "how to earn money from blogs".

It's made it to Page 7 on Yahoo (so not much chance of it being found in organic searches)... yet.

I'm guessing it's ranking on page 1 for something though... because I've already have one new referral to Wealthy Affiliate since publishing.

(Of course, I can't pinpoint exactly which post on WA my referrals come from) but I find when I just publish my best posts on WA I usually get a few new referrals quite quickly.
