Are You Making Meaningful LinkedIn Connections?

Just a quick update on my LinkedIn progress because it's become my favourite Social Media Channel for the following reasons:

1. It's relatively quick and easy to build LinkedIn connections (once you've optimised your profile). I'm planning to add a training on this soon if you're interested.
   
2. Connections are more professional. It's really easy to see their work experience.
   
3. Connections are more meaningful. You can zone in on the kind of people you'd like to make simply by searching for them and asking to connect.
   
4. Less chit-chat than on Facebook and (so far) I've seen ZERO negativity - no ugly comments.
   
5. As far as I know, you can't automate follows and unfollows like you can on Instagram - so you're connecting with real people who stay with you.

I now have more Followers on LinkedIn than anywhere else: Currently 6637, growing daily...or should I say hourly.

Oh... and virtually all my LinkedIn Connections are WOMEN (except for my hubby & brothers), as my target audience on all 3 of my websites is Moms.

What's also exciting, is to see how my Stats have grown over the past few months. As you can see in the image below:

In the past 90 Days:

• 970 people have viewed my profile
• 21 Post Views of my recent post (55 of the post before this)
• 133: number of times your profile appeared in search results between October 2 - October 9 (last week)

And then THIS Happened...

This has to be one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me online.

When I read her post, I was taken completely by surprise.

I was on high. She made my day.

I felt humbled and grateful.

I felt seen... significant.

I felt that the work I do was being noticed and it mattered.

Although Sima Leah Morgan was one of my Level 1 LinkedIn Connections, I had never really connected with her or taken the time to read her profile, until she wrote this post. Now I've offered to feature her on Inspiring Mompreneurs.

It just proves that people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. (To steal a quote from Theodore Roosevelt, made famous by John Maxwell).

Sima showed she cared.

This is something we do here at Wealthy Affiliate all the time - make meaningful connections and show them we care.
