Heya Everyone

Just a quick one to let you know I'm still here and rooting for you all.

How's it Going Your Side?

On my side, the school holidays have been fun... and a balancing act (as expected).

Although I've been very inactive on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, I have managed to keep up with my publishing schedule on my sites.

I've published 32 posts this month so far and have a few interviews still to publish and ideas for posts that I just haven't found time to write yet.

Highlight

A highlight for me this month was earning 50 Cash Credits ($25) for my Tutorials:

How to Earn Money from Blogs (before you have significant traffic)

20 Days to 1000 Instagram Followers

THANK YOU

Thanks to all of you for giving such positive feedback on my Tutorials as that's how you earn cash credits through the Open Education Project.

I haven't had time lately to give comments in Site Comments so I used my Cash Credits to request comments in Site Comments. Thanks to all of you who gave me such wonderful comments on my posts.

My New Job

We're nearing the end of the Winter School holidays here which means I start my new job at The Kids Gym in a few days (Tuesday, 17th).

I'm excited!

I officially started on Monday, 2nd July and announced it on LinkedIn, Facebook and my Mom's WhatsApp groups. As a result I've brought in some new members during the holidays but the real work starts when Schools go back. Looking forward to really getting the word out there.

I'm also a little nervous, of course, as I still have lots to learn to find my groove in my position. But mostly because I'm not sure yet how I will find the time to do all I have planned on my 3 sites AND prove myself in my new position.

And then of course, there's still my responsibilities as a Mom, wife and housekeeper. Phew!

I don't want to drop too many catches.

I'm sure all of you who are working, blogging and parenting know exactly what I mean. So many WA members are managing all this and more.

What's been happening your side?

Do you have highlights to share?

I'd love a quick catchup if you have a moment to leave a comment.

Hi Laurenjean, so good to hear from you, It sure is a big balancing act and very hard work, but I have seen what your capable of achieving YOU GOT THIS!!
As for me, I am moving forward slowly, but surely. Wish I could do more, but that won't happen till the day I am able to leave work.
Just so you know, if you are too busy for a comment just give a like, I'm good with that.
Have a great weekend, and I look forward to when you next drop by.
Jenny

Hi Jenny, Thanks for your enthusiastic support.
A slow build is absolutely fine. Every step forward is a step in the right direction. You're working full time, aren't you?
I'll pop over and give you some reads and likes.

Hi Laurenjean, your very welcome and thanks for replying.
Yes, I'm excited at what I have been able to achieve, it's not much but considering I had -zero experience I am happy. I work 30 hours per week, plus home duties. My kids are good they say "that's great mum" but my husband not so much, so that limits my time here a little. I think it's hard to understand the WA journey unless your actually on it, but that's Ok cause I'm not giving up.
Good to talk with you again.
Jenny

Hi Lauren, happy to hear about your new job. I know you will do well in it if what you do here at WA is an indication. I firmly believe in the saying, "the busier we are, the more we get accomplished". So don't worry about the time element. It will all fall into place. Please keep us updated on your job progression and how everything is fitting in. :-) Frank

Thanks Frank. Aah, what a great quote. I'll keep it top of mind as I head into this busy period. Will keep you all posted.
How's everything going on your side?

It's amazing how much you balance. You must have a lot of energy! I'm sure whatever you do will be a roaring success.

I'm still struggling to carve out time to sit still and write. I'm trying to get my niche site up, it's just learning to weed out distractions and focus on one thing at a time. It's always been a struggle.

I'm going to Europe for a couple of weeks. I need a break from my country. WA will be here when I get back, and come August it's time to recommit and get busy with my website. :-)

Thanks Wendy! Oh, awesome! I'm sure you will come back from Europe buzzing with fresh ideas.
Taking a break is always good and going abroad truly broadens your persective. How exciting!

It seemed everything went well as planned Lauren, which is great to hear. I think it's normal to be a bit nervous on new thing. You will be doing great and looking forward to hear stories from you.

Joe.

Thanks for your faith in me Joe. How's everything going on your side?

Great to hear from you, Lauren! I'm always amazed at how much you get done. I'm sure you never even have a second of being bored. I can understand that you are a bit apprehensive about actively starting your new job and how you will fit everything else in. But I'm sure you will soon get into a routine that will work for you - the less time we have, the more efficient we get.
Have a great start on Monday and all the best with your new job!

Thanks so much Sammy. You are so right - efficiency is key. I aspire to Timothy Ferriss's 4 Hour Work Week but I'm not there yet.

One of the Owners of The Kids Gym also owns a thriving Advertising Agency, a Guest House and has set up a Non-Profit Organisation for the Kids Gym as well. When I heard all she manages, I thought my little To-Do List paled in comparison.

How are you doing? All going well your side?

There are no big news from my side. Everything is going as expected at the moment, so business as usual really.

I think you are on the best way to Tim Ferriss' 4-Hour Week, Lauren. Once you go back to 'just' working on your blogs and doing all your other duties, you might find that you have streamlined processes so much that you get your work done in no time - but then you would surely fill it with additional projects (just like one of the Kids Gym owners)!

Have a great weekend and all the best for Tuesday!

You're doing great Lauren! You have a positive attitude and you'll be able to do well with that. You'll probably surprise yourself with your true capabilities. Often times we underestimate ourselves, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear your business doing better and your job doing well also. Involvement in the community (with a job or otherwise) can be a huge inspiration and opportunity.

Thanks Tiffany! It takes one to know one. :)
Ooh... what a great thought... a rising tide raises all ships, right?
Yes, I'm excited about the community involvement and it feels great to be out in the real world again. ;)

I bet

I am very glad you found time for me, you look fabulous on my front page! Thanks again!

Thank YOU Loes! Such an Honour!! Oh my goodness, I should have said that in my post. Another big highlight for me.

All the best at your new job. I am sure you will handle it swimmingly like all the other areas in your life.

Aw, Thanks for the compliment Michel. How's everything on your side?

Thanks for checking in. You can do it....just don't go to the laundry mat alone...lol! Your energy is very motivating. The summer heat in this area is zapping mine...I need to spend more time in training and writing...but I will.
Debbie

Thanks Debbie. Good luck trying to get any work done in those lazy hazy crazy days of Summer. All the best to you.
You can do it too. :)

Congratulations on all your great news. I wish you the best.

Thanks Linda. How's it all going on your side?

Good, thank you!
