Let's Celebrate International Women's Day!
My hubby sent me a message first thing this morning to say it's International Women's Day.
It's the day we celebrate women's achievements throughout history the world over.
It is also the United Nations day for Womens Rights.
So I thought it would be appropriate to do two things today.
1. Celebrate Your Wealthy Affiliate Heroines
Think of one woman or the many women you've met on Wealthy Affiliate who has really impacted your life in a meaningful way and celebrate her.
If you feel like inspired to do so, share a story in the comments below of the woman or women on this special platform, in this wonderful community who has changed your life for the better.
For me, there are so many incredible women who have inspired me here that I cannot choose only one. So today I will celebrate 5 ladies who are especially special to me. I will list them in date order of when they impacted my life here at Wealthy Affiliate.
1. Lynne @LynneHuy
I've made no secret of the fact that Lynne has been like a personal mentor to me here at Wealthy Affiliate. I was so excited when I discovered a fellow South African on this international platform and Lynne has taken me under her wing. Almost every cent I have made online so far can be tracked back to a tip or tip-off from Lynne. She refers clients to me. She thinks of me whenever something awesome comes her way. Plus, of course I am in awe of what she has accomplished, how hard she works and how she manages everything, being a Mom and running her online empire. Lynne is one of my Mom Blogger heroines. This woman has HEART.
2. Loes @Loes
Loes was the first Mom Entrepreneur/Gran Entrepreneur to grant me an interview. Loes has been an Ambassador for as long as I can remember and was in the 3rd position for aaaaages. She is as gracious and humble as she is hardworking. She has added so many phenomenal tutorials on Wealthy Affiliate, I've lost count. Did you know Loes has 6 children and 6 websites? (Probably more websites by now, correct me if I'm wrong Loes). Did you know that she runs a Day Care Center at home and teaches Dutch to foreign refugees? This woman has HEART.
3. Danielle @SongbirdDL
Danielle was the first person at Wealthy Affiliate to give me a guest post on my breastfeeding site and it was gorgeous and so very different to anything I've read on nursing anywhere. She inspires me every time she writes a post because her angle is always so unique. She has a really interesting take on life and I learn so much from her. She is a talented writer and has become a very good friend. This woman has HEART.
4. Ariel @ArielHarris7
Ariel was the first person at Wealthy Affiliate to buy an ebook I reviewed on one of my websites. We've had a couple of wonderful phone calls across the miles and she and I have become firm friends (as you may have noticed by the recent Birthday post). We share ideas and inspiration. She's written 3 awesome guest posts for me, one for each of my sites. All posts were on conscious living and Ariel is impeccably conscious. This woman has HEART.
5. Jill @JillAlexaVA
My Mom joined Wealthy Affiliate soon after I did but was too busy caring for my Dad (who has Lewy Body Disease) to jump in and start the training. My Dad recently went into full-time frail care giving my Mom the chance to spread her wings once again. She is scared of all things internet, yet she's taken flight at Wealthy Affiliate in the most incredible way. My Mom is my hero in so many, many ways. She gives so much of herself to everyone she meets. Her love. Her grace. Her enthusiasm. Her wisdom. In a month she's ranking 69 and she has her own website. She is AH-MAZING. This woman has HEART.
There are so many more women I could have mentioned and would love to mention, so please don't feel put out if I left you, beautiful you, out of this post. I would be here all night if I mentioned everyone who is impacting my life here on a daily basis.
So let's celebrate ALL WOMEN at WEALTHY AFFILIATE!
2. Reach Out to Women in Need
- Spare a thought for women you know or know of who are in difficult situations, be it pain due to ill health or trauma or addiction or depressive.
- Women in abusive situations.
- Or women who have lost spouses or children or parents or beloved friends.
- Women who are lonely.
- Women who are hurting in any way.
- Women who need support, encouragement or motivation.
Reach out to a woman in need if you can today.
Happy Women's Day Everyone! Cheers to all of You!
To Women here at Wealthy Affiliate and everywhere,
With Much Love and Gratitude,
PS. Don't forget to leave a comment below with the woman who has/women who have inspired you here at Wealthy Affiliate.
