Heya Everyone
Just a quick hello and a quick question:
Are YOU on YouTube?
I had done very little with my 3 YouTube Channels for the last 3 years... until last month when I did a 30-Day Challenge where I had to create content every day - written posts for the first half of the Challenge and video posts for the second half.
I did my best to create videos to embed in all the written posts as well.
And I managed to upload 23 videos to my Digital Entrepreneur Channel in October. (I made a mistake and uploaded 1 video to my Inspiring Mompreneurs Channel. Oops!)
Results of Publishing Regularly on YouTube
I've been encouraged by the results.
In October, I gained 25 subscribers on my channel (I had 2 subscribers when I started and by the end of the Challenge I had 27).
And YouTube sent me this cool email on 7th November.
Now for a seasoned YouTuber, I'm sure this is like a drop in the ocean... but hey, I'm excited!!
It's the first month that I felt I was finally on the map!
I've discovered that just like blogging, it's best to prepare yourself for the long game on YouTube. Don't expect instant results.
The secret is to add videos frequently and consistently.
It's been months since I started going video in April this year.
And though I'd dabbled with a few videos on social media, (which I also uploaded to this Channel). this is the first time I've been consistently uploading content to YouTube.
The 30-Day Challenge ended on 30th October, and I've continued creating videos and uploading them this week. And I've gained another 3 subscribers to my Channel.
I also gained some new email subscribers and plenty of clicks on my affiliate links - though no affiliate sales as yet. (We live in hope).
I'm encouraged by the growth though and excited at growing my star online. Here we go!
My new goal?
100 Videos in 100 Days

A timely post for me Lauren as I've just started to dip my toe into video creation and youtube.
I wouldn't be able to upload 100 in a 100 but now that I've started to upload vids to my channel I'm going to keep at it.
You've now inspired me to create a blog myself here (haven't done that for ages!!) so I can share what I'm now doing with my followers.

Those are brilliant results from such a short space of time Lauren. Consistent posting/uploading pays dividends, it soons mounts up and you'll be growing that following exponentially as you go.
I should be starting a test channel, just audio, in the next two weeks, that's the plan. It won't be business orientated but that can come later.
Subscribed to both channels. It all helps along the way.

There have been a couple of posts recently to follow one another, not sure how they are getting on...Let me check to make sure that the link is there (I recently updated and may have left it off)...
In any case, you can find me under Dave Sweney SMART Tools for Business...A search for that and social media services, VA services, video services, etc. should get you there
I also changed the name of that channel recently from Making Money Online to SMART Tools for Business...I had a few different things going on - affiliate marketing, e-commerce, off-line business services, etc.
As part of the revamping, I have split them up into different channels. Next up are the thumbnails, and then I will do for fine-tuning for SEO...Lots of work planned...
I am so serious about getting this channel and the rest up to snuff that I joined a membership site that is run by a seasoned veteran in the video world.
Thre I am learning all the steps to take to get a top-rated channel. The reasons are many but I need to show this off to my offline clients and prospects.
I can hardly sell them on taking us on for services if I have a bad channel myself! That membership is also not cheap - $40 a month (I get a lot of tools and training for that though)...
Subscribe for a subscribe? It sounds like a good deal to me!

@DaveSw Just watched a couple of your vids. Really cool. Did you get the tools to create videos on the membership site you mentioned above?
No these are separate ones that I have purchased over the years...I also have invested in some equipment like green screen stuff, a mike, etc.
Once you make a commitment to video it kinda goes like that...You want this, then that, then the other thing, etc. It can add up to a lot of money or not so much (I have not spent too much)...
Thanks for stopping by...I will get over there and do the same for your channel/vids....Now if we can get the THOUSANDS of other WA members to do the same (and we will return that favor)...
