Hmm an interesting development
So there are a lot of publishers out there. A lot of mediums for getting our own special brand out to the public, and it seems that there is a lot of incentive to do it.
Not only the pay and making it on Forbes list of entrepreneurs, that are making heads spin like the "Reddits," or just making the stories that we have come to love on the New York Best Seller list.
The biggest incentive is just making the statement. Making something that will last beyond tomorrow. Isn't that what dreams are made of.
Only one problem.
Making it past the online data base that allows one to file taxes. It seems very little can be said how anyone is making the Forbes list in book sales when at the rate Paypal is paying: 10.00 USD
and the company most sign with are paying less than $75.00 USD checks. Either one is really making a career of being a writer or they hit pay dirt in market sales at the first go.
Never did understand the mailing of checks. The idea of mailing me, my check, reminds me of the time I was a Valier. I worked for a company that did not mind us standing in front of whole foods in the dead of winter to help old ladies and single mothers park or load their cars. We received decent tips at times, nothing to write home about. It was the mailing of checks that finally made me quit. Hardly ever received my pay on time for rent and always had to rely on the charity of my land lord to keep me in my small apartment.
Though every time I go to sign up to work for a company that promises to pay through paypal or mailed checks I am given a red flag of my memories of never receiving my pay.
I wonder as I read the sale tags of most publishing companies, how or who or when anyone is getting paid.

When you say publishing companies I'm assuming you mean affiliate marketplaces. I believe that most of them do it on a monthly basis, but you should definitely make sure they are a reputable company before signing up.
No, when I say publishing companies I mean publishers. Like Smash or the Blotter or anyother online magazine that fits the criteria of publishing company.
I do not consider an affiliate a publisher because they are not always marketing our writing material they are marketing us as an entity and we sell them.

I don't have any experience with publishing companies. I am wondering if they have a minimum payout for certain payment methods.
as I wrote above Paypal transfers are 10.00 min and checks are 75.00 min.
that again is at a 60-40% pay scale. some companies try a 50-50 split considering they do all the PR.
