Can you be "friends" with buisness partners?
According to FACEBOOK and other social media sites you can.
Instead of going through all the hassle of face to face meeting, we have come accustomed to the social benefits of the internet. Only in the hay-day of Facebook and Myspace, no one was talking about investing in each others Business.
Not in the same degree that Wealthy Affiliate supplies. So now when you go to speak to people on Facebook, You are rarely speaking to live individuals that will respond to the out of the blue greeting. They have been trained not to. They have been told that anyone out there speaking to you may be a bot; and or there business is a scam and you should not invest, people read this pages without investing the facts and so now, Facebook is a dead space unless you are speaking with family. Now how many of us are going to ask our families to invest in our individual business ideals?
I know I won't. In business there are too many sensitive factors to consider. Politics, religion, gender, and financial education.
I am fiscally conservative: Meaning I do not condone the idea. Until I am made to do it beyond any other choice; "That I must spend money in order to make money!"
There is a certain point in which people can no longer get money out of me in order to invest in another idea that is supposed to make them more money than I have already spent. This is why I don't deal with family, especially when they come to me later after having spent 1,500 dollars and have not returned a profit, talking about, "You have to spend money in order to make money!"
Yeah, it is not happening.
Now if I know 250(5)=1,250; 250 being the average cost of good stock. 5 being the number of years my stock remained at 3, and I lost 1,250 dollars in those 5 years. No one knows what happened to it and I am not supposed to talk about it; I am not supposed to inquire as to where that money went in 5 years and what we planned on doing with the money earned is still a working progress after 5 years; and I am the only one shelling out the work, back breaking, sweating kind of work. I not only begin to feel used, abused and lied to. I begin to be feel robbed, I want accountability. That feeling does not go away and family is quick to say, "Forgive me!"
I forgive, but the math is bothering me so bad. I still have not earned that much money and I want to...only faster than 5 years. When no one else does, I begin to feel it is time to look for a new staff!

The aim of doing business is to make a profit. If any connection points to any other result, whether it is family or friend then you need to look the other way.
Yes, that is how I look at it. Of course it is still a hard pill to swallow when you invested so much time into the people around you; Be it training, expressing why the business is important to you and should be important to them, teaching them how to promote the business among those they meet, setting up forums for those that have questions along the way. So much that goes into market meetings and structure development that when a partner decides it is ok to completely forget what happened in 5 years to a stock; (especially during the recession, when every penny counted). You have to dig real deep to find a way through the years of loss.
O yes. That can be so disappointing. People change. We probably have to be aware of the signs along the way.
