Hi everyone. I have been struggling with this for a while and finally decided to ask for help. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to submit my sitemap. I do not have any

To submit sitemap on Google webmaster you will first have to generate the Sitemap from your WordPress Admin. Download sitemap generator plugin and install it directly and go back to Webmaster and click on the website; but before submitting sitemap, you should have listed the website already on Google Webmaster.

At the submit sitemap, just type in there sitemap.xml
and its done

Thank you! I finally found the right plug in and was able to submit it immediately. Thanks again!!

Hi guys. I have the Scrappy theme on Wordpress and I can't seem to figure out 2 things:

1. Why is it that my pages (that I would like to be menus) are set up like posts? A

Usually your Theme will allow you to change the settings on how your pages are set up. On your dashboard, in the left sidebar, scroll down to where it says 'Theme', then 'Customize', or 'Appearance' (can't remember exactly which), but somewhere it will allow you to change the page format. Then you can select & click on 'Menus' to set them up. 'Widget's will allow you to change what displays in your sidebar on your pages. Hope this makes some sense to you. Best thing is to just go in & explore what everything is and says to familiarize yourself with it all. Hands-on usually helps me--when I see it, I understand more. Best wishes, Ms Terry Ash

Hi, Go to settings >> reading and then you will see to radio buttons they are - Full text and summary - select >> summary

Hope this helps

Barry

Hi guys. Does anyone know of any other good websites to get free royalty-free pictures? I tried to look through the websites that Kyle listed but their free pictures suck and who

I have two option maybe you want to check.

1) fotolia.com you can get some free ones.

2) Bigstock.com. you can download 35 high resolution images absolutely free of charge and us them legitimately on your website, courtesy of BigStock.

Maybe it's will help you. :)

I always use www.photopin.com

I just checked it out... lots of photo options here! Thanks for sharing Amy!

Thank you for this. Now I know the difference between royalty-free and completely free lol

You're welcome. :)

Thank you. I've already found a few pictures from those websites

Maybe just try doing a google search for free pictures!

Give www.stockvault.net/ a try, I use them sometimes and they have a good variety of pics to choose from.

Thank you Jason. I tried looking for pictures within my niche on this website yesterday but I'll give it another try.

Hi guys!! I have a couple questions actually. 1. How do I get a specific blog to link under a specific menu. In the first course when Kyle went over making 3 page, I wanted to make

To Change the name on the tab go to >settings >general - you will see a box called -> site title - change this and it will change the tab as well
If you want to know more about pages and menus I have a few good blog posts on my blog, go to my profile and you will see them there under my blog
Good luck with you website
bazboy247

Thanks for the response. I'm trying to find the settings that you're talking about but I can't seem to find it. I tried to look on Internet Explorer because I'm using Firefox but it doesn't give me an option to change the name.

I'm sorry lol. I found what you were talking about as far ass site title but it still says my old website name on the tab

I just actually got the answer to this the other day as I needed to do something similar to a blog post of mine that needed to go under my Reviews page as a menu option.

What you need to do is, in your wordpress editor click on where it says Appearance, then click Menus. After the Menus editor comes up, go to the upper right area of your screen to where it says Screen Options and click the little down triangle beside it.

Once you click on it, you should see a new area that is titled "Show on Screen". Right below is some boxes that may or may not have check marks in them. There should be a box that says Posts and you'll want to click the box beside it to have it check marked.

After you do that, there should be a new part on your Edit Menus area that says Posts. You'll want to click on that and all your posts/blog posts that you've created should show up. Click the box to check mark it beside the one you want, click the Add To Menu button and then it should appear as a menu item under your Menu Structure. After that, all you have to do is drag it under one of your main Menu titles for it to become a sub menu and your done!

Hope this helps and I wish you much success! :)

(PS, I'll see if I can get an answer to your second question)

Thank so much for your response! It kinda helped but not really lol. It made my post a sub-menu instead of just adding the post to the page. I tried to make the pages at the top try to functions as menus. This is my website so maybe you can get an understanding of what I'm talking about. marvelousmane.com

Oh I'm sorry LatriceH! I thought you wanted a specific blog to appear under a specific page via as a menu. I see now what you're saying about just wanting to add the post to the page. I'm still learning about posts and pages and how to get them together so maybe both you and I can learn together, hehe. Anyways, bazboy247 below has offered some help as well.

No need to apologize! Lol. Even though its not the answer I was looking for right now, you taught me how to do something that I may need in the future. Thank you
