Time off and some pretty photos
I am going to take some time off the socializing aspect of Wealthy Affiliate as I am preparing a combined birthday party for my better half and myself as we both have our birthdays in May.
Yes, some days ago I had to add an other year to my profile age, this getting older is one of the few things that go automatically every year, like it or not.
I personally do not mind but I do take care of my lifestyle as I plan to " get older " in a nice way
.
Some month ago I changed the earth for my many cacti and they have rewarded my effort with extra growth and beautiful flowers. They grow like a trumpet which only lasts 1 day. It is not funny to have miniscule splinters in hands and arms. Even when one wears double gloves and overalls one can not avoid it and it produces an irritating tickle for days on end.
So here come some photos of different blossoms in the Patio.
Hasta Pronto, Taetske

Dear Taetske, I wish you a wonderful birthday party. I think it is a day to celebrate that we are alive, and not the number of years we have lived.
The photos of your flowers and the cactis are very beautiful.
Enjoy the blossoms and of course your birthday party!
:-)
I really enjoyed the photos Taetske, you have a beautiful garden and I can smell the fresh air.
Oh my, they are all beautiful!
I'm a plant lover and gardener and love these.
Happy Birthday to both of you! Enjoy your time off :)
Happy Birthday! Enjoy your special day. Living in the desert, I'm surrounded by cacti and have learned to appreciate their beauty. Thanks for sharing the pics. Debbie
I love cacti Taetske. It is delicious too Nopalitos taste like green beams . Do you have them in Spain?
Good morning Mike,
In the beginning year on my finca I climbed a stepladder dressed in a bikini to cut off some big " ears " of this cactus which was standing in front of the house. One of those ears, big and heavy, fell from head to toe and caused me to have splinters for more than a month. To tell you the truth I now stay away from it even if the fruits are sold here in the village by vendors on the street.
Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske
They can be spiny. I had a whole palm full of stickles in Nevada where I first encountered one!
