Hi there, I have been thinking for instaling cookies on my website. 2 months ago, I started to learn about cookies and understand how it works. But sometimes I still confused.<
For Europe, you need to install a way for visitors to explicitly accept or reject cookies. Perhaps a popup or banner. There are many ways to achieve this. Persinally I use the plugin called GDPR Cookie Consent which is easy to use.

Are you selling something? The merchant is the one who puts the cookies on the consumer's laptop, usually via the affiliate link. You as the blogger would never put cookies on someone's site.
No, I am not selling anything for now just promoting through an affiliate link.
I see, thanks, Jeannine.
Hey Lana,
You may find the following tutorial helpful: EU cookie law plugin for the GDPR settings And, you may find this interesting: GDPR Compliance. Our Official Take. Hope this helps you.
Stay away from those types of plugins. Remember you need to keep under 5 plugins to keep Google happy.

Hi - the number of plugins is irrelevant. It depends on how well coded they are. You could have 5 poorly coded, bulky, rarely updated plugins that slow your site to a snail's pace.
Or you could have 20 plugins that are well-designed, well-coded, lightweight and constantly updated that don't affect site speed at all.
I personally have 10 plugins on all my sites with no problems.
This could be true, or perhaps it is, but when I increase the number, it slows down my site and my plugs on-site health drops from 100 percent down to 90 percent.
How I came up with that information. Sorry if this was incorrect, just how came about the plug-ins.
Joseph
Check WordPress, got this message.
Too many plugins can lead to security breaches on your site, site crashes, bad performance, slow loading speeds, and more. A good rule of thumb is to never exceed 20 plugins. If your site is hosted on shared or budget cloud hosting, try not to use more than 5 plugins.
Hi - I presume you are testing your site speed before and after? If so, and it shows a marked difference, then yes, that particular plugin could be a problem. You could try looking for different versions of the plugin that perform the same function.
As regards Site Health here, it's actually a metric on invented by WA. It's not directly connected to Google. Read my training on it. Site Health (and Why It's Not That Important)
I agree with @DianeScorpio. The number of the plugin is irrelevant for the site speed. However, you might run an SEO and page speed audit every 3 months to check if you need some changes for your website.
Hi Diane, just read your lesson. Would you mind sharing which plugins you use.
Thank you,
Michael
Hi - I have several websites, so it's not necessarily the same on each one. However, here are the ones I typically use.
Ad Inserter, Better Click to Tweet, Broken Link Checker, Table of Contents Plus, Insert Headers and Footers, Rank Math, Sassy Social Share, Smush, GDPR Cookie Consent and Q2W3 Fixed Widget.

Hi there,
A long time ago I have very own Blogspot that it has stopped operating since 2016. However, I still got access to it and I would like to move it in here, so I
I guess I was drunk when I posted this question or it got into a bug. Idk.
I was waiting for a reply from the tech support as I am sure I wrote a message for them. Turns out it posted on my profile. And I have been waiting for 2 days and I thought they forgot my message because of the update problems or whatsoever.
Anyway, I got my answer already actually, and kinda progress on managing it.
not really - all of your content will have been indexed at blogspot
google will get onfused if it suddenly changes to a siterubix site and class it as duplicate content ( you won't get ranked for that)
if you can get all of your content onto a domain at blogspot then move the domain here for hosting then that is ok and google will be happier - as long as the redirections are done correctly.....
good luck
phil
you maybe able to setup redirections for the blogspot articles if you have access to be able to set them up - then you can move the articles to your siterubix site

Long time ago, I have a blog fro my poem and book review. If I am not mistaken, it is still active until now. I created from 2007 using blogspot until 2012 if I am not mistaken
Hey Lana,
I agree with Trish's advice. Find out first if you can still get access to that site. According to Abie, if your site is a sub-domain to Blogspot you probably might not be able to bring it over.
Ask SiteSupport ... see what they say. Pls, let me know what you find out. I'm interested to know the outcome.
Best,
Monica
Hi Monica!
I manage to get the email I used with the link Trish gave me. By the end of the day, I'll try to change the password. If I manage to take over again, then I'll contact the site support for some favor.
I'll let you know the result later.
Yea... glad to hear you were able to get your email. That's a positive step.
There's always a solution to everything. I look forward to hearing about your progress.
Best,
Monica
"..looks like an empty house with a lot of spider's web!" Lol
You won't stop to make me laugh Lana! You're so funny!
Well, yeah, please, find a way to take it back because I would be your number 1 fan to read them up!
I hope you find an accurate answer to your question on time.

Hi Mike!
Lol!
Thanks!
I manage to get the email I used a long time ago with the email Trish gave me. Next, I'll change the password by the end of the day. If I could take back everything that I left, I'll ask the site support to do some favor for me.
Hey Lana,
Have you checked with Google to make sure if you can still gain access to your Blogspot website?

Hi Trish!
Amazing! Thank you so much!
I manage to get the email I use. I will change the password by the end of the day to see if I still can 100% reach it out. I'm sure I can.
Thanks again!
