Hello there
My niche is dog training. My site is knowingyourdog.com.Would value your opinion. Good luck in your business

negative seo and competition will have anyone protect any niche site that is making money.

The one I will reveal is the making money online niche. I have a few others i dabble in

Just so you know - some people guard their niches closely. It's kinda like asking some women their age.

That said, mine is baking with natural ingredients. www.bakingnaturally.org.

Oh! i didn't realize it was a big no no! hmm
either way I will check yours out!
Thanks for sharing!

No problem. If someone wants to duplicate all the work I've done - good luck! It won't get them anywhere. But for other types of sites, yeah, it would be fairly easy to rip them off.

I wanted to know exact numbers of visitors KatieMac

tommy thats exactly how I'm checking my stats now but i didnt know that my websites on http://howtodoaffiliatemarketing.siterubix.com also could be checked on there.

does google analytics not have the stats your looking for, it is not good to have to many plugins, if your promoting WA they have the stats there for you to see

You can go to your WA affiliate program tab on your WA profile page and then click on stats at the top. Also one other thing try not to use too many plugins they will slow your site down from loading fas .

Plugs for stats which has worked for you?

Trying to do my own marketing

Hi Michelle,

Many hosting companies like Hostgator and the like, have autoresponders within the member's area. But they don't work well nor do they have a whole lot of functionality. So I wouldn't recommend that.

If you are going to try to create your own solution, that would be quite a project. Technically, it's feasible but it's not just the programming that you'd have to account for. You would also have to take into consideration the infrastructure and the server it's housed on. Perhaps this wouldn't be so much of an issue if you plan on keeping your lists small. But if they start to grow rapidly, your hosting company is not going to be happy. They have this pesky item in their terms of service called fair use. You would probably be required to get a dedicated server which can be quite costly.

If you are tight on cash, you could always start out with Mailchimp. You just have to really adhere to their terms of service regarding affiliate links and other items. They can ban you if you don't.

Personally, I think creating your own solution is going to consume your entire day over the course of several weeks and probably even several months. Remember that companies like Aweber and GetResponse have been doing this for several years and they have been refining their processes. You would be pretty much starting from scratch.

Even if you outsource the work, you'll have to manage that and get the requirements correct. It's one thing to have an outsourcer create a plugin for you. But a major solution such as this, you need to spell out exactly what you want. Otherwise, they won't get it right.

This whole endeavor will take you away from productive activities such as creating content, interacting on forums, social networks, etc. These activities will get you closer to making money.

Best Regards,
Jim

I have been shown many times how to do email marketing. The few times I have done it, it has worked with favorable results.
The best way I know to do it is to design a splash page. It's a single page with an offer and a place for people put their email in order to get more information. Usually a free report, book, discount, or something of the sort. Most of the time it's a "report."

Those emails then go into a list maintained by MailChimp or some other email campaign service. MailChimp is simple to use and free for up to 10,000 emails per month. There are others, so choose which works best for you.

Once you have a list from people who saw your splash page, you can then start sending them offers for similar items/products. MailChimp has a system that you can pay for that will send the emails to your recipients on specific days, at a certain time, according to time zone. It's point and click.

What ever you do, don't buy email addresses. It's a waste of money and can get you banned by a mail provider.
