What's holding you back from getting started? Do you think you need to be an expert? If you’re anything like me, before I got started, I thought the same thing.

I asked myself, how in the world am I going to be a blogger? I’m not even a writer.

Well, my thoughts have changed today, because, I find myself writing a blog post.

Plus, paying it forward and helping others within the Wealthy Affiliate community.

The point is I have learned over time that you don’t need to be an expert. You don’t even need prior experience. All you need is the will to get started and an even bigger drive to become an expert.

9 Ways To Help You Become An Expert

Anyhow, I want to share some ways that you can overcome this limited thinking of having to be an expert before you get started.

#1 – Follow the training within Wealthy Affiliate…. I know, I know!

There is a lot of training, within the community but, that’s because Kyle and Carson have made it easier for you and me to succeed.

More importantly, the training, allows you to choose any direction. If you want to pursue your own niche site, then you’ll want to get started with the Online Entrepreneur Certification.

On the other hand, if you have no idea what niche you want to go with, then check out Affiliate Bootcamp. That is where I started. Was I an expert? No, I never had prior experience at all.

#2- Build Your Self Confidence with self-confidence you can accomplish almost anything in life. To learn how you can become an expert in any niche. I suggest you check out the following WA members post.

• Read AJ’s post. He couldn’t have explained it any better.
• Alternatively, you can read Israel post on how to take lots of action and become an expert.
• By the way here are 7 steps in building your self-confidence.

#3 – Weekly Webinars – Here at Wealthy Affiliate there are weekly webinars on Fridays. Anyhow, they're available to every premium member. Jay does an excellent job of teaching new techniques and strategies that will also help you become an expert in many different areas.

So, I encourage you to register for the next webinar. Don’t worry, if you’re not able to attend, you still can register, and once the replay is available, the replay will be sent to you via email.

#4 - Online Forums – with online forums you can learn a lot within your niche. Like what your audience needs are? I like to read discussions with the Quora or Yahoo answer forums. There are topics on almost any subjects. Check them out you may learn a thing or two.

#5 – Write Product Reviews- I use to hate writing product reviews but, now I love them. Why? Because with each product review I learn something new.

#6 - Write and Keep Writing – Sometimes, I feel like I am blogging my heart out but, I know it will all pay off in the end. So, there is no turning back.

If you're writing content as frequently as you can, you're getting practice. Practice makes perfect, and more importantly, it creates an expert as well.

#7 – Invest your time- Investing doesn’t always mean you have to spend money. It means you either are spending money or spending your time. Invest in your learning; it’s a vital step to becoming an expert.

#8 Grammar- I have seen many experts say you must be able to use proper grammar or spelling to write. No, that's far from the truth. You don't have to be perfect.

Trust me, I don't have an English degree nor am I an expert when it comes to proper punctuation and grammar. Just do your best; you'll learn as you go.

Besides, when have you ever known someone to be born an "EXPERT?" Everyone has to start somewhere.

#9 – Just be you – One thing I’ve learned is just to be me. Although I try my best in everything, I do. I do make mistakes. If I make a mistake, hey I’m only human and not perfect. I’m open and honest with everyone so; this brings the expert out of me.

Besides, there can be many experts but, there can only be “ONE YOU” expert. So, relax and just be you.

Stop Procrastinating! Get Started And Believe In YourSelf. You Got This....
