I am writing this article for the WA members and my referrals. I noticed that when I started WA blogging more with these type of blogs like my success and the troubles U I have. My referrals starting taking action. I am proud of you ladies and gents...let's do this..

Okay, so I was in WordPress and I notice one of the issues I have is having too many plugins...

I am still learning WP so, I am not sure if it is because, I am working on a Free version or what?

Maybe I need a premium who knows. I'll have to look into this..or do the best thing...of asking the wonderful WA community...

Okay so anywho...I decided to write down these codes. And maybe this could help someone out..

I like to keep things simple and not difficult. So, here are some short cuts that will work in WP and only any other writing platform like Microsoft word, Google docs...yada...yada...yada

Keyboard Short Cuts Hold CTRL + (letter) then release

If you want to underline a word highlight the word and then hold ==> ctrl + U

If you want to italicize a word highlight the word and then hold ==> ctrl + i

If you want to copy a word highlight the word and then hold ==> ctrl + c

If you want to select all. click anywhere on the scree then hold ==> ctrl + a

If you want to redo the last action, then hold ==> ctrl + y

If you want to cut a word/section/or all page then hold ==> ctrl + x

(cut is almost like coping, except when you cut everything will disappear off your paper)

If you want to paste a word then hold ==> ctrl + v

(after you cut something you can then use this short to paste wherever you want the information to appear)

If you want to undo the last action then hold ==> ctrl + z

If you want to bold then hold==> ctrl + b

I really hope this helps out someone...I am off to continue getting some work done...

As always have an awesome day....

Thanks, Kisha. That's wonderful. Carol

You're Welcome, Carol! and thank you...

This is awesome, Kisha! For some reason, my theme used to let me underline things, and now it doesn't. This is what I needed!
Blessings:)

After adding Amazon referrals to my post I noticed they weren't a different color which kind of defeats the purpose because how would somebody know to click on them? Any thoughts?

I am not sure, I don't have an account with Amazon. Are you trying to change colors of the text? If so, then I know how to do that within WP but if it is the images, then that can actually be in the coding...and I am not too familiar with coding...

I mean when adding affiliate links the word or words you want people click on are usually a light blue it this time mine stayed the same color as the rest of the article.

Oh okay, yes I know what you mean my theme does the same thing. And the only way they would know that there was a link there is if they just happen to be scrolling their mouse across the entire page. Which most people won't do.

So, what I do is change the color of the word that has the affiliate link. You can change it to the color of your theme, bold it, or pick any other color of your choice. I also underline the word as well but, you don't have to do that, it's really up to you, if you want to underline the word.

And, this is what you'll have to do.

Go to the post or page where your link is. Click edit so, that you can see the entire article.

Go to the word that has the affiliate link. Highlight the word. Then go up to your toolbar within your article and you will see a letter "A"

That letter "A" should have a black line underneath especially, if your text itself is black.

Click the upside triangle and different colors should come up. Make sure your word is still highlighted.

If the word is still highlighted you'll pick whatever color you want the word to be. After clicking the color your word should change to the color of your choice.

You can also bold the word or underline the word.

The time consuming part, is you'll have to do this for every single word that is not obvious to the customer. So, you'll have to go back through every post and change them manually.

I know it is time consuming but, my WP does this same thing and if the there is no type of trigger there, it seems like the customer won't know to click. Unless they just happen to scroll there mouse across the word. Which could be once in a lifetime.

So, to be on the safe side I just change all my words manually going forward, And, when i get extra time I go back an update the rest of my post.

I have attached some images to try and help you through. I hope this helps, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. I hope this helps...

OMG, I can't thank you enough. WiFi is down right now but I can't wait to try this when I can.

You're Welcome, just glad to help!

Thanks Kisha, and if anyone has a mac like me, you just press "command" instead of ctrl :)

Ypu're Welcome and thank you for the MAC tip.

Great tips. I use a combination of mouse and keyboard shortcuts all the time.

Thank you! Yeah, I use both too, it's just easier...
