Old Man Yells at Cloud
Life shattering isn't it. A senile old man thinks that cursing out a cloud will make a difference. The sun will return shortly.
Often people seem to get upset when Google (the cloud) interrupts what they are doing with an algorithm update. Guess what folks, Google updates occur way more frequently than you might think.
How do you get around this? Kyle preaches this until he's blue in the face. Create valuable content. Don't rehash the same thing over and over. This goes for the content you create inside WA as well as what you put out on the web.
If you aren't adding value to your reader's experience, well, what are you doing?
I have been guilty of this at times but when I use other content inside WA I also provide an additional perspective or gather together relevant content that makes sense to bring together into a cohesive unit. There is a lot of content here that is difficult to find and may be in an erratic order. So, collect collate and enhance what you find.
ADD Value!!
OK, rant over. I got going on this because of a Google Post that pointed me to more of David Amerland's content. David Amerland is a Semantic Search authority. So he understands what it takes to get ranked.
Here's the post I read earlier today for those that are interested.

That was a good read Craig, the guys at Google are clever cookies way more than I will ever be , we spend so much time trying to find short cuts, ignoring the quality content elephant. Thank you.
Craig, interesting reading. I think I have always done a form of semantic searches but didn't know this!
I actually left a comment on the link.
Thank you for your post and the link has great information.
Of course Google has to make sure things stay interesting and 'real' with proper content for the readers. Value is a big deal and if it's not there, either are the readers.
It makes sense :)
