I got Benched
Last Friday my computer went down. While it was being fixed, I kept going into my office and staring sadly at my desk where it should have been. I was seriously going through withdrawals folks.
It's true, I'm and addict. A WAddict. Perhaps those of us that suffer from this malady should form a support group WAnonymous. The 12 step program will just commiserate with the others because as we all know, there is no reason to leave WA. Just learn to focus better so we can handle the time away while the commissions come flowing in.
But I digress.

The first cut from the tree has bark and a rounded profile on one side. Since I had 3 of these laying around, I figured I would use one to keep me busy while I was offline.
I cut and pasted it together into a bench. Just wood, no nails or screws. Wedged Mortise and Tennon joints to hold it together. A very rustic and solid bench was the result.
Time will tell how well it holds up.

We as you made high end log furniture. Everything in the home, half log trim around doors, to natural cut baseboards, half log window seals. Have you seen the pic of that amazing tub?
I wanted everything in our home, from the art on the walls, to hand sewn curtains, appliqué quilts, the furniture we sat on, vanities etc to be made by our own hands.

Oh, I feel your pain. Last weekend, while visiting my dad, I felt so anxious cause I knew I should've been at home working on content. SOooo, yesterday, after playing bingo with him and his friends, we go back to his room to watch the news. I went out to the car and grabbed my laptop and got a few paragraphs done. It wasn't much, but it was more than I had when I woke up that morning.
Hope you get your computer back soon. Do you have a tablet? I made a new page the other night with my phone, LOL

The weather has effected our WiFi here - so I feel like I can relate to your dilemma! I used the time to create - just as you did- and luckily I am an artisan - so I made 24 new earring designs and used up some onyx I have been meaning to work with. Your bench is adorable and I hope it lasts -and that you won’t need to use it again soon (now that your system is back up and running.) Cheers! 😀

You are so creative! What a wonderful way to spend time when you are 'benched'.
The internet goes out regularly down here so when it does we read the local paper since we study Spanish. If we can't work on our site or go onto our online Spanish course we read and practice the grammar.
