Aftermath
Well, the last 11 months have been a rough one and now.....
We have a lake in our yard. Well actually not a lake but the Calibogie Sound has sauntered up to our door and insinuated itself into the house.
With any luck the alterations of waterproof flooring and fiberglass drywall will make this a minimal issue for us this time. There are, of course, electrical issues due to salt water and wiring not being overly compatible with each other.
Once they have opened up the Island again we will see how much actual additional damage has been done.
Ours is just one story that is being repeated for 10 Million others in Florida Georgia and the Carolinas. I bet there is a niche here somewhere. I can think of about 3 dozen.

I trust you and your family (and the dogs) are well and there is minimal damage. Stay safe.
I pray that you guys will be alright. What a way to get your mind off of your circumstances.; think about WA!
We have no power here in Lawranceville, Georgia right now, at least my part, but that's about it, a minor annoyance compared to a lot of other places. Stay safe, stay dry.
We have family in FL who are also dealing with Irma's aftermath. Not fun for sure but I was happy to hear minimal loss of lives. There must be a niche from this. Make that lemonade and glad you're safe.

Wow. I hope you have minimal repairs somehow. Where are you located? Which state?
That pic is from South Carolina. We are in Tennessee right now.
