I am trying to set up email with my domain in it and need to add a txt record so that i can get it set up. can anyone help me?

Any tips for adding a txt record? Godaddy wont let me set up email with them because the nameservers are with WA. I have to add a TXT to WA.

Not really sure about the text record, but to set up an email for your site, ie admin@yoursite.com, go to your websites and hosting link, under tools.
Click on the button at the top which says "Site Email, then under the New Email tab, enter the name, like Admin, Info, "your.name", or whatever you want to make it look professional, then in the next part, it should have the name of your business site, eg. @yoursite.com.
If you want to forward the email to another account, you can click the tab where it says "New Forward" and have all the emails redirected to another email address automatically.
You can set up a simple signature file in your mail client, like Outlook, Gmail, Thunderbird or Incredimail or whatever email client you are using, so that all outgoing mail will have the signature attached on the bottom of every message you send.

The only thing that comes to mind about a TXT record is to do with DNS records which can be used to verify domain ownership, or for email security. You could have a look at this page: https://support.google.com/a/answer/183895
It may give you a bit more information about how to set one up, and might be what you are looking for.

Savant thank you so much for the reply. I thought you could not set up an email and forward same email to another email from WA. I have searched all over here and much of the info is very out of date as I think some of these changes are very recent, as far as being able to "send as" from google. I really just want to have a domain email wendy@5cfencing.com that i can send and receive from that i can access from my phone.

When I was experimenting with online marketing of my online store several years ago a lot of emphasis was put on exchanging links with websites of similar content yet I don't s

Google is catching those websites who are playing link exchange games. If you want legit links then Guest Post is one of the best way to get it.

Thank you for the info, I had misunderstood the way one would collaborate on street articles, now I understand. Thanks

It's "old school". Backlinks are completely devalued, Google considers interlinking between same-owned sites a "content violation" and many believe it treats this as a spam signal, ditto reciprocal links or linking repetitively from one site to another site . It's why there's no longer any emphasis on Street Articles, even though K&C own that. :) Rich.

Hi, from what I have read, and there was a lot about this on the net recently following the google changes, link exchange is an outdated concept. That said, no one really knows how the big beast google works, and it would seem that genuine, quality links are still in - i think google has targeted the people that just link everywhere to get higher ranking. Once again, it all seems to come back to quality content written around relevant key words - as taught here on WA. All the best, Steve

I'd recommend that you follow the training as-is step-by-step. The majority of people that seem to #fail here are those that hop about like gerbils on crack, selecting various bits and pieces to try on an ad-hoc basis. These days search engines are only going to rank content. You have to give visitors added value, otherwise why will they buy from you?! Here's Google's own opinion on it http://d.pr/JHwI You don't have to use the blogroll as a blog, a diary or journal, you can simply rename it "reviews", or "news", etc. :) Rich.

So true. I actually visited some websites that have almost no content except for some short reviews of products they recommend to visitors.

The training here at WA teaches us that our goal should be to help people, not sell to them.
