If i'm using a long tail keyword that is 61 characters long and is in the yellow length, medium/okay typing zone of a title. is it best to shorten it for SEO? or use the full k

61 is pretty long and for seo purposes you should try to target a smaller phrase variant and try to rank for it by using the long phrase in the 1st and last paragraph and in one of your H-tags.

But if you are determined to try it make sure you take the stop words out of the URL.

The golden charm is 3 to 5 words. Then less than 50 characters.

I wouldn't recommend shortening it. I think that it would be fine if you targeted the entire phrase, in fact, you would want that within the title.

Just my personal recommendation.

Keyword should be kept as it is if this is your targeted keyword. Make sure it is complete in url as well as in the title.

As for the title box, when you type it in, you should know that the character limit includes the site title as well. So to be sure count the title characters manually.

It's ok for the title to be long as long as it's out of the red. The red usually means it will be cut off after that point.

When Is the best time to publish a review post to the search engines? Before or after it is completed?

after

Good question. I'm right there as well. I would guess you should post when its mostly done. However you can always add to it.

Publish after it's completed. If you publish before it's completed you will have a worse bounce rate.

Thanks for the advice! What exactly do you mean by bounce rate tho?

Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits (or web sessions). It is the number of visits in which a person leaves your website from the landing page without browsing any further.

Anybody use or know of a plugin that is similar to thrives content builder but is free or at least cheaper than the one by thrives? i'm looking to add a product box on a best-o

I do not use plugins that have to do with building content. It can lead to a bad relationship with search engines. Especially Google.

But to each is his own just be cautious in your approach.

thanks for the insights. I'm simply trying to figure out the easiest way to incorporate a buyers box with a call to action button like this one but can't seem to figure it out.

You can always go old school and use HTML.

Is that still possible to do with a beginner/intermediate level of tech knowledge?

Yes, there are a ton of good HTML primers out there.

Thank You! Any suggestions on the best for beginners?

How important are back links in the affiliate marketing world? and what are some ways of naturally incorporating them into your marketing strategy?

You do not need to worry with backlinks. Keep in mind that social shares are considered backlinks but it will do you no goo as far as backlinks go if it is you doing the sharing.

Needs to be someone other than yourself

You do need backlinks, they are still a major factor in ranking.
Not all backlinks are equal though and you should concentrate on acquiring them from authoritative blogs within your niche.

Thanks Ben. What exactly is a backlink in simple terms? i have been trying to figure it out from various different places online and I can't seem to grasp the concept. and also, are they a must-have to get rankings now-a-days?

Hi, Kyle, a backlink is a link from another site pointing back to your site.

This site recognizes the quality of your post and is happy to give a link back, which is recommending their readers to take a look.

If the site has a higher Domain Authority (DA) than yours, Google will note that and increase your site's authority.

Good quality backlinks are hard to get and guest posting is one of the best ways to do it.

One backlink from a high authority site is worth more than 300 backlinks from a lower quality, spammy sites.

To rank though you do need backlinks acquired properly. I don't think there is any training on this here though.

Great advice. Thank you. When you say guest posting do you simply mean me marketing my own website on other peoples websites in the same niche via things like bog posts, and forums? I hope you don't mind all the questions Ben, I really appreciate all your help, nobody else seems to be able to help me on this topic. So I DO need backlinks in order to get ranked but there is no training on this through WA? is that correct? And do you have any recommendations on where to learn how to properly place backlinks? That is super unfortunate WA hasnt even mentioned once the importance of backlinks especially when they are required for getting rankings to your site.

Rob wrote a very informative post about Backlinks. This may help you understand them better.

thanks a bunch. This article helped a lot. do you have any experience using backlinks?
