It is always better to go for a dot com as the majority when they start typing they would presume it is a dot com.
However, Jay here do have an affiliate website ending in .org extension.
You can use NameMesh dot com to find alternative name or LeanDomainSearch dot com too and GoDaddy valuation tool to find a memorable name.
