Hey Kyle!

Here's my question. Let's say you've been working on a site / blog for over a year. And let's say it's not getting a lot of traction. What would you do?

- Christina

Yes love this question and would have asked the same.

Thank you Christina

I have the same issues. That I were guessing needs more attention to it. I would suggest and thinking to make a new one. What click in the market for what the latest technology.

Just saying....

Yes, my pleasure!

- Christina

Good question! Thank you Christina!!

I see you got 10 likes on this, but the real question is what have YOU done in the year?

I say when you don't see results, you need to increase your frequency, increase length, increase mix media, and do more posts that are trending, things happening in your industry that people are searching about.

I've always found the people who aren't making money from their sites after one year is because they are NOT consistent in blogging, as well as frequency is way low. This is true every time someone PM'd about why they aren't making money after so many months.

If you look at my case study, that's exactly what happened. I wasn't getting much traction and only hit $100/month at my 12th month... then finally started blogging EVERYDAY for EIGHT MONTHS STRAIGHT. I hit $1K/month after 7 months of that and the rest is history, as they say.

The ones I see following my path are either on their way to Super Affiliate status or already made it this year.

People don't realize that the "hard work" they've put in is actually not nearly enough work for competitive niches.

YAY and thank you

Thank you Grace for your input. I hear you and will have to put my foot on the pedal. lol

Thank you Grace. Good advice.

You're welcome and YES!! Lol Almost literally! Lol

Thanks Shirley, but i'm sure Kyle will have a better answer for us. :)

I know. loool

These are great points! My frequency is pretty good but I am definitely not pushing out a post every single day. And yes, I'm kind of stuck in the same spot I've been in for a while. Traffic is slowly increasing, but ever so slowly. lol

So I guess my question(s) to Kyle is...when does it make sense to try something else? How much time do you give a website? Do you just keep going and switching things up like you're saying, or is there some point when you say "OK, this isn't working, time to move on?"

By the way, this isn't 100% about my site. I don't plan on ever giving up on it. But I have started working on different websites now to diversify what I'm doing.

I just haven't seen an answer to the question...how long do you give a site before you realize it's not going to work and it's not going to make money? I'm sure Kyle has had some duds in the past! lol How did he know they were duds?

- Christina

Grace, I follow your work closely and you are my role model here.

This is exactly the same question I wanted to ask and I completely forgot about it:)

Oh good! Hopefully Kyle answers it 😊

- Christina

I have the same exact question Christina!!

I think you rephrased your question way better. :)

Hi Christina,

Just a suggestion.
Instead of switching niches, what I will do is try to update my articles like editing, adding new materials and images, or similar to doing a renovation instead of moving to a new home. For example, you have a blog titled, "How to create a blog", you can update it like, "How to create an entertaining blog in 2020". Then carefully choose your Keywords (with the use of proper tools), to improve your SEO rank. Also, while updating your first website, you can create another site that is relevant to your first niche and link them together.

Hope that makes sense. :)

Thanks for this, Paul! I do need to go through my old posts and update them. It's just a matter of taking the time to do it.

- Christina

I know you can. ;)

Hello Christina!! How is my favorite inviter person?

I am thinking about what Jimmy and Ricky say, "write 60 or so post and then leave it,then start another niche" . Or something like that.

I don't know the answer to your question, but that's what came to my mind.

Talk soon.

Hey Ken, one of my awesome referrals! I do like their advice too! :) Thanks for that!

- Christina

You got to work it. :)

Hi I just started my sight www.outdoorsurvivalsituations.com I was thinking of having my home page set up just with a bunch of articles about diffrent things to do with survival. And the outdoors and then another section that just has a bunch of survival gear that you can buy I can have affiliate links to Amazon to make a commission from them is this what you expect from a websight or am I doing this all wrong and is this niche even worth getting into I'm finding it hard to figure out what to write about check out my sight and let me know if I'm doing alright so far

Hi Kyle, in case I miss you, I have been trying for oer a month now to get in touch with you because I need help and I have tried many times to get help and have not been able to get it. I have wasted a whole month trying to get help. If you don't help me I will have to quit WA, I can't pay another month if you are not going to help me. Please let me know if you are going to help me.

Where are you stuck? Let me know. Drop me a note on my profile and I will give you a hand.

Hi Kyle, Where have you been for over a month. I have emailed you on all of the appropriate places, and I tried support and it took them 2 days to finally look at what I ask them to, I ask 3 or so people in the community, they either couldn't help me or just never got back to me, and 3 different people told me you were to busy to help me, and yet after each training, you say to contact you if we need to. I paid for a month, and have not been able to go forward since. If that's the way it's going to be, then I don't want to do this. I was really going good and doing my blog and feeling very good about WA, but now after trying for over a month, I feel depressed and very unimportant and worst of all, dumb. I am so far behind now that I just want to cry, because all the work I put into this was for nothing. I feel that if you really are going to help me get caught up, then you owe me a month of fees, just to get going again. I would be almost through all of my training if I could have got the help I needed to go forward. I tried to go around the areas I was stuck, but I couldn't go on until I could finish level 2 lesson 4. I will have to go back now and refresh myself on what I have accomplished. I really did like WA, and felt at home, until I needed help, and then I felt very sad . Let me know what you want me to do, I will be waiting for your answer.
Thank you, Marlene B1

Hi Kyle,
I know that you are busy, I did ask this question on your "ask a question blog" but apparently I might of stepped in someones way, but that's alright. Just wondering if you might have any suggestions or thoughts on the "Product CSV Import Suite" plugin for woocommerce ecommerce since I'm building an online store with thousands of items and it is very time consuming updating everything.

Anyway I will be at your live session tonight hoping to gain more insight on this whole business of making money online I've been at it for a while built my first website in 2003 made a few dollars here and there but nothing considerable. I also have a certified programming course that I completed back in 2000, and I not about to quite cause I know that it can be done.

The online store that I am in the process of building is for our store (my dad's shop) he started his business in 1949 and is still at it, the guy is 90 yrs old this year and still working very hard, paint and sanding boats. He is an amassing hard working guy, and with that nothing comes without working at what you believe in, the Dream must go on.

Thank you for your time and consideration on this ... cheer ... Michel

Hi Kyle,

This should be quite simple to answer...

If I sign in after time off (say a month) and return to WA then log on, to find that WA says "unable to find a user account with the credentials provided"

How do I get back in to my old Premium account without signing up as a free account to ask for help in Live Chat?

You will need to sign in with the correct details. I let you know through chat what those were, you can email me at kyle@wealthyaffiliate.com and I can help you.

You are not signing in through the same email that you used to sign up, that is the issue here.

Hi Kyle, here is my question:

I would like advice on what to do when I start designing my website, and I come up against a technical issue, like there's something I want to change on my site that I am unable to do because I'm not a design person or a coder. For example, the last time I tried to work on my site, I picked a theme that I really loved, but there were things I couldn't figure out how to change, like getting rid of some of the "blog-type" features that WordPress has as the default. It really tripped me up and I got caught up in the details of trying to change the site, instead of just moving through the course lessons.

What should we do when we want to change things in our site design but can't figure it out? Asking questions in the community doesn't always work because it depends on who happens to see our question at any given hour of the day (whether in the community or tech dept.). What is a way to either get a specific answer to a specific difficult question?
- OR, maybe better yet:

What is the best approach (mindset-wise) when coming up against these things and there just isn't a timely answer? I tend to give up easily. So I'm trying to get ahead of this issue now before I start a new site again.

Thanks for your help!

All of us have three options to get our questions answered:
1. Ask the community. Usually, you get quick answers (more than one) from the community.
2. Follow the training where you will find answers to most of your questions.
3. Send a private message to your personal coach (under who you signed up to WA) or any other member.

As far as mindset goes, since that affects everything else you asked about and more:

If you know you often give up easily, then I recommend l making two lists: 1. List all the benefits you will gain as a result of focusing on this endeavor for years. There is no quick money to be made here. 2. List all the excuses (real and made up) that you think will slow you down or help you decide to give up.

You have to make a commitment to do the work. You have to decide to not quit. That’s the secret. Just don’t quit.

Tweaking your website to improve user experience and branding is only important when you have traffic. Early on, it’s a form of procrastination.

Do the hard work. Create content.
