Kyle & Carson, Now On Instagram.
Conventionally, we are not BIG into the social world with our personal lives. But we feel that it is time to really "humanize" us. We get the question far too often, "are you guys really real" and I think to a certain degree we have become so used to being able to follow people and their lives through mediums like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter that we have become desensitized to the fact that these were conventionally private things.
We have just recently set-up our Instagram profiles and this is going to be a focus of our day to day moving forward. You can follow us at the following profiles.

But we get it. We also are not living in the dark ages, we are a progressive company and we are also progress in our day to day lives in terms of technology and keeping ahead of the curve. So it was due time.
We feel that this is going to play out in several positive ways.
- Keeping up with the Millenials (and Kardashians). We are not getting any younger, but the demographics evolve. We have to keep up with the next generation in terms of their habits, this is important in every business. If you want to remain an "old school" business, the best way is to behave "old school" in terms of your habits and technology that you adopt. We have always been "ahead" of the industry, and we feel it is important to have a presence on social.
- Trust. When people realize that we are REAL people, living real lives, it creates a certain level of trust that couldn't be achieved otherwise. This was a big reason we wanted to move into Instagram, to prove that we are very much normal at heart, we are caring, and we have families and people around us that we care about and spend a lot of time with.
- Highly Engaged Audience. Instagram has a very engaged audience, much more so than any other social network. You post something, people see it within their feed, and because people don't post new images every day or share the sort of influx of spam and news articles you see on Facebook or Twitter, there is much greater focus on your actual posts and what you have to share.
- Instant Reach/Voice. You want to get a message out, you can. The greater the following, the wider your voice will spread. People see, like, and engage in your content within seconds of you posting it on Instagram. This is very powerful to your business, your brand, and your authority within any niche.

You can step inside of our lives and realize that we are normal people, with families, and we like to do normal things just as you do...well not always completely normal, but you will have to follow us to find out. LOL
One thing that we have decided we are not going to do is make this a promotional fest, we want to use the Instagram medium to build trust with people to show that we are authentic and real. There is nothing wrong with using Instagram as a promotional medium, but it is going to be done very tastefully and naturally (versus the spam fest I see out there these days).

That's great! I was a little confused when I didn't see Instagram in the training for the social media side of things. But seeing as I am 15, I knew how valuable it could be, so I went ahead and set one up anyway.
Yeah, there is going to be a lot more on IG Moving forward, and we certainly have a lot of Instagram experts here within WA. Perhaps one day you can offer your insights and own training on the subject. :)
Hey Kyle I have an Instagram account but I'm not sure if I should set it up as personal or business related what is your opinion?
Business will give you more features, it will allow you to get more sophisticated data, have automation features, and also allow you to promote on there as well.
My excitement went through the roof when I saw Carson's post about the New Era of WordPress Hosting coming to WA. I cannot wait.
Lots of awesome stuff coming on the hosting front Minhaj - we're working hard to get our new server class up and running. We have a few folks already on the servers helping us test them out - putting the finishing touches on the servers now. We're also working hard on the upgrade process as we want EVERYONE at WA to upgrade to the new servers as it's going to be completely FREE OF CHARGE to existing Premium members :)
This is great! So do you recommend Instagram over Pinterest? Do you feel that you can brand yourself better or give people that "trust" and personal feel they are looking for better with Instagram? I've always thought Instagram was more like Pinterest in that you share photos and infographics. Is there more you can do?

Yes, you can post articles and content there. People don't want to be inundated with promos from you, so just be careful about that.
You can certainly get newfound reach with your content and if you are sharing great stuff, you can go viral.
Have you seen my blogs on WA? All I do is publish great content that pays it forward and shares amazing ways to do better with the WA training and conquer traffic on the web. I wasn't able to find a post or add button anywhere on my Instagram back office yet, but I'm sure I'll find it with some research when I have time, and then I'll start posting great how-to content. I'm not the promo promoter type, I learned my lessons and I just pay it forward now. Cheers!

Yeah, that is definitely the case. In particular in an industry where there are people that get taken advantage of on a regular basis, the authenticity that can be displayed and portrayed through Instagram is a really powerful thing.

I've always been in two minds over instagram - as to position myself from an affiliate marketing brand standpoint or just be real like you guys.
I've kinda slipped into both categories lol.
But now it's got me thinking that since I'm doing bootcamp and the blog attracts folks to WA from all walks of life, then it makes perfect sense to make my Insta more personal - mixing things up, using various hashtags and engaging.
I guess you never know who you're gonna bring into WA through your Insta profile ;)
Well there are lots of Instagrammers here with big following and they are driving a lot of revenue through IG. But the thing is, you have to be authentic. People have to be captivated by you, and this is done through constant marketing messages.
Be authentic, and introduce tasteful promotions when it makes sense to do so. I think that is the best way to go about it. ;)
