Don't Expect a Home Run, Before You Hold a Bat.

When you are attempting to start a business, you typically have a motivation for doing so. For many people that motivation is earning additional income, or even more, a significant income. That is fine, that is normal, and that is something that we are constantly helping people with here at WA.

But before you can make significant sums money (hit a home run), you first need to understand HOW to generate that income (how to hold a bat).

You see, I have been a baseball player my entire life and a big fan of baseball. As you start to understand the game, like any sport, you start to understand that athleticism can only take you so far in sports. So what differentiates someone with a great batting average (over .300), and someone that is a mediocre hitter? What about home hitting home runs?

It takes an understanding of the mechanics of how to hold a bat properly, how to position your body, how to swing a bat and the ideal trajectory of your swing. These are things that matter, and that you need to understand before you ever step up at the plate.

And surely, I wouldn't expect to be able to hit home runs without every swinging a baseball bat. It takes learning the mechanics, it takes a lot of practice, and it takes a lot of effort.

The same goes for the online business world.

Why would you expect to be able to hit a home run in the online business world, before ever learning how to hold their bat (so to speak). Let's dig into this idea.

The Backwards "Money" Mentality.

You can't build success in business, without first building the foundation for that business. You cannot build success, without the knowledge and the understanding as to how success works.

Not a day goes by where people don't ask "can I make money without going through the training". Or can I make money in my first week?

The answer, is most likely no.

If you take that same logic to anything, you will immediately realize how far-fetched it is. Can you hit a home run, the first few times you swing a bat? No. Can you become a successful surgeon, before going to school and practicing this first? No.

You first need to establish your skill set, you need to understand what is working and what is not working, and you need to practice the proper techniques and strategies before you can become a true "home run" hitter in business. It is backwards to think otherwise.

Focus on Singles, Before Home Runs

The next analogy that I think is relevant to business, that most people overlook is the idea of focusing purely on the home run. You see this with newcomers to marketing that think the "high ticket" products/services are the only way to build a thriving and lucrative business.

You can be just as successful, if not more when you aim to hit singles. You are going to be much better equipped to hit home runs too, if you first know how to hit singles.

So my recommendation to you, is to focus on small successes (singles) far before you worry about big success in business (home runs). The singles can more efficiently and effectively lead to runs.

Once you master the process of hitting singles, you understand the fundamentals of the game, and you have put forth a bunch of practice, THEN you can aim to hit home runs.

Don't expect to hit a home run before you have held a bat. Once you become skilled with your bat, you can start to truly swing for the fences. If you can comprehend the idea of this, you are going to have a bright future ahead of you in the online world.

kyle: I agree. I want to start an educational channel and course teaching people about the basics of law such as in areas of contract, family law and injury law and the civil legal process so they have a working knowledge.

I want to validate this idea first to see if there is sufficient interest in such a course or inforamatoin as I don't want to spend alot on time on a product there is not sufficient interest in.

Validation is very important before you jump I think

Yes, I like this. Before I sat down and started reading, I knew I needed to get back to the beginning. I have been reading randomly what is put front of me, but it's all been good. I want to make this work; I want to make some money.
Before I go there (to start training)...I came across an ad that offered help to avoid getting ghosted. Any comments? Does this really happen?

Hi Debora,

Members will come to your assistance when you ask questions. There'll always be someone available when you're on the platform. They won't necessarily always be the same ones.

Whether you're in live chat or just posting a question someone will be there to offer support.

Dive in to the training and if you come up against some walls put out your questions.

If you like what a member is putting out there follow them. Inspiration often comes in what they're posting. You'll get notifications by email each time they post something. These can sometimes be a spark to get us motivated.

Hope this helps

All the best

Thank you, Kyle, for that analogy for our business structure. Timing plays an important role in each person's progress. We have to stay focused and persistent in putting the work into making it a success when the time is right. Stay on track and keep moving forward.

Thank you.

Absolutely Veron, well said!

Thanks Kyle for the encouragement as always. Yes, I am taking it slowly but surely. I am learning from the experts of our WA family. I am absorbing every bit of it. From the confidence boosting, style, tone of posts, different trainings, motivations and reminders to go over everything again. This is to stay grounded all the time. WA is such a great family. I love everyone here. God bless us all.

So glad you are enjoying your experience and the family here. As you continue to absorb the new knowledge here, and take consistent action on the training, you are going to become more and more well equipped to hit home runs!

Yes Kyle. #apply what I learn to be equipped to aim and hit for my homeruns. I will always keep this in my mind and heart. Have a great day.

For sure, you have a great day as well!

I myself have been with W.A. for 8 years. I only recently have made a few sales every month or other month. This is small; However, most of my time here was working on my D.J. site which I did get calls and still do ! Now, onto my extremely competitive Niche in the Health field. Ailments of the Heart, Prostate and Flu are a start for me. The point is I AM making sales. Very few and pennies or dollars BUT they are there. Plainly visual on my Amazon Graph. 8 years guys ! I've learned to hold the bat. Now, how to position myself at the plate is coming. I realize your message Kyle more than you know. I will be successful. Just Watch !......D.J. Scotty B ♫

You are getting to the point where you are ready to "swing away". :)

Wishing you a brilliant year ahead Scott!

Hi Scotty B:
