We have just launched the brand new Affiliate Task platform here at WA that is available to all Premium members! This is going to be a game changer in respect to affiliate efficiency, your ability to help your referrals in a timely manner, and ultimately maximizing conversions.

As an affiliate here at WA, it has been very difficult to manage your conversations, your interactions, and reach out to your referrals who are in need of help.

It's Centralized! Bringing the Fragments Together.

Prior to the Affiliate Task platform, it was a bit of a maze to find all of your correspondences with your referrals. There were blog posts, questions, people posting their goals, profile comments, profile descriptions, private messages, and comment replies to all of your comments.

To be frank, it was a headache to try to find and help everyone in an efficient way and in some cases, newcomers weren’t getting the help they needed. Not because we didn’t want to help them out as a community, but rather, we had no way to quickly determine who specifically needed help.

All of these are critical communication points in offering people the best help and experience here within the community, but unfortunately because of the cumbersome nature of notifications and the fact that many people get 100+ notifications per day, it was not manageable to try to sift through.

How the Platform Works.

Although very intuitive, there are many aspects to the Affiliate Task platform and I am going to walk you through these below.

Filtering & Ordering Tasks

The platform is very straight forward to use and allows you to either complete all tasks, or to tackle certain "types" of tasks first. There are buttons along the top that allow you to filter tasks by their type (as shown below)

You can then organize your tasks by New First or Old First. I typically go through the newest tasks first and then work through them until they are completed.

Read Full Conversation

Since the task tool will only show the last message within the current dialogue, we have allowed you to "View History" of the entire conversation.

Skip/Reply

I focus on getting the "last word" in all conversations that I have with folks. Not only will it lead to better dialogue, it will lead to more trust through time. I tend to avoid using the Skip button, but there are definite reasons you may want to do this (if the question has been answered by someone else or the communication simply doesn't warrant a reply).


More Help, More Trust, More Productivity

What does more timely help lead to? Happier and more knowledgeable referrals.

Just think of it this way. If you asked for help and got no response, how would you feel (regardless of the platform). Not good. You will no longer MISS any communications with the task tool as it will keep you in check with your interactions everywhere in WA.

By being able to track your specific referral communications system wide within the Affiliate Task Tool, you can take efficiency to a whole new level.

You are going to be much more efficient with your communications and help, thus leading to a much better relationship with those that you have referred to WA. You will also free up an incredible amount of time during the day to spend working on your website, your business, and doing things that will lead to further growth

Track Your Productivity

You can get an glimpse into your overall “progress” of your affiliate tasks. Ideally you don’t want to dip below 100% completion rate and as you move forward in the next 30 days you are going to start seeing your % completion of tasks go up.

Remember this though, if a task isn’t completed within 7 days, it will be removed from your task list. Anything that isn’t responded to in the first day, let alone the first 7, is pushing it in terms of communication.

Remember the last time you had to wait for an email response for 7 days? You likely moved on. So do people you are communicating with.

That leads me to...

Keep an Eye on Tasks (2-3 Times Per Day)

The more active of an affiliate you are and the more referrals you generate, the more tasks and communications you will be involved with in terms of your actual referrals. I suggest that you spend a few minutes a few times per day clearing out your tasks.

It will not only represent you as a member of the community well, it will better relationships, more trust, and ultimately more retention with all of your referrals.

I really hope that everyone enjoys the new platform, I know for us and the folks that have been beta testing this platform, it has created leaps and bounds of efficiency to their activities here within WA and has removed a lot of the senseless navigation around WA to find out whom needs help.

Hi, Kyle, Its like performance plan/duty sheet at workplace, where you're required to spend 8hrs, & reflect what you have done in any given time. take it the other way round. This is what you must setup for yourself in your business here.
Mon - posts/pages tasks
Tue - posts/pages tasks
Wed - social media tasks
Thur - Email marketing tasks
Fri - PPC tasks
Sat - comments tasks
Sun, Public holidays - Break
ETC,ETC, Just an opinion. Its great

Yeah, this is a neat idea the only problem is that there is no particular regimented plan that would make sense for everyone. Different people have different schedules, are working on different businesses, are utilizing different marketing strategies, etc.

I think as we move forward, you are going to see elements of this style of "worksheet" incorporated into WA. Definitely thinking along the right lines here.

For sure, it is already getting lots of use and I have been using it for a few months now. It has changed my life and freed up my time "hunting" for communications, and instead showing me the exact tasks that are outstanding and need to be completed.
