Ok it is time to start to be creative again. I need to build another website. I have started two here already, both of which I have ignored the past month. These first two s

Free themes... Weaver Extreme (I love all the options)
Paid themes... Elegant's Divi 3.0 (again, I love all the options)

Best wishes, partner!!!

Thank you I will look at them.

I like it. the weaver extreme theme looks great.

Best of luck my friend!

Most themes allow for a static page for the homepage as opposed to a blog. As to an exact theme, I cannot say. I have a purchased theme that allows me to configure it in any way I want, which is great because I can create different websites and they all look completely different even though it is the same theme. There are multiple "skins" that I can pull over the base theme and change the way is acts and looks. Maybe u should look into one of these. My theme is from Themify .com and is called Ultra. Just a possible suggestion. There are also plenty of free themes for WP on the internet, just do a google search for WP themes for free.

Thanks yes Jay ad suggested a couple of premium themes for me too that I liked but because of my finances they may be a month down the road.

I have my standard blog roll on my main landing page of my site and have created several static theme pages as well. One of those theme pages I expect to use for reviews. I w

That's a lengthy question to answer. Your pages will not convert into a blog roll as you add, but you can make a static page a menu heading and then put pages under that heading as you write them. When you complete a page, if you want it to appear under another page that is a menu heading go to sitemanager>quickedit>parent. You then choose the page under which the new page will appear. Then you go to apperance>menus you ad the page to the menu on the left hand side of the page that opens and, on the right and side of the page, slide the new page under the parent page and indent a bit. Then save menu. This will give you a menu heading and pages under that. Of you want an example to see if this is what you are asking about go to fishingluremart.com I have menu items with pages under them. I hope this helps.

Thanks drjec, that makes sense.

Just make it a category page, instead of a static one. That way every time you add something to the "reviews" category, it will be there as a post, instead of having to add each one to a static page by hand. I'm going to give you a link to a tutorial on how to ad categories to WordPress menus. http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-navigation-menu-in-wordpress-beginners-guide/

Thank you.

HELLO Kwikev - thank you for your encouragement. At the same time I share you're World View - so we do have something in common other than WA!!

My question of you is are you making a living with WA as yet - I notice that you've been a member for some time - so you can talk from experience.

I'm just starting out and busy building my first website - which I'm struggling with - but nothing in life comes easy - that's what you are saying!! I've just got to keep at it.

But for me - I know that I'm going to get that 'shot' of dopamine in my system when someone 'buys' something from me and I EARN something.

Give us/me some encouragement - 'cause you've been through the mill of life - you've gone through, what I call the 'tunnel of life' and I would hope you are coming out at the other end at the moment.

thanx don

Truthfully Don, I am new to WA. I have been a member here about 10 days now. But this is not my first rodeo. Over the past 15 years I have done several MLM's, network marketing and other entrepreneur type ventures. Some minor successes and some complete failures that cost a lot of money but I never gave up the dream. I learned a lot and I met many people who have been successful and picked their brains.

About 2 years ago I was part of the number 1 team in an exciting network marketing plan. Our group was recruiting the most new affiliates and we went together in pride to the 1st national convention they held. They announced a long expected merger with a major and successful financial partner. The new owners got up and cheerfully lined out the NEW plan. In it our network platform was gone and we could become essentially unpaid sales staff for this exciting opportunity. In defeat our group met privately and withdrew from the business. We started a new venture and I was one of the founders. We set out to create a learning platform with tutorials and tools to help aspiring online entrepreneurs. Sound familiar? We began creating all the content and the platform with an emphasis on direct sales, email, text and voice dialer programs. The short of the story is that I learned a lot. We created training modules, conducted webinars and provided support. But the best laid plans scenario hit. There was some internal strife and we fell apart. But I new what I needed to find. WA was an eye opener when I first saw it. It looks a lot like our long time vision.

I am just following the Training modules, one at a time and have joined full heartily in the community here. It works! It is a long tested formula. Ask me this same question in a year and I will show you. Good luck to you and blessings on your life successes.

You're not alone Kevin, and I'd like to offer you a little bit of sunshine (well, hopefully ). Please read through one of my earliest posts here so you can better understand you still can profit online.
