Struggling in writing

I have become a premimum member for about 2 weeks. But I have ONLY written 1 post.

My niche is learning toys.

Though I have great interests in this area, I have been struggling a lot when I started writing the first article. Reason 1. I haven't written long English articles for a very long time. I struggled a lot when I wrote the first article. Having to write a 1000-word article is daunting for me!

I found that I don't have much information to write about. Every day I just take a lot at other peoples' articles on Google and try to organise the information on the websites.

Should I continue with this niche?

For those who are successful here, how do you overcome this writing fear?

Can you give me some advice?

This might help you. ALL of us come here with Niches or areas we have been associated with or too for a long time, I was one of them

What I found was this, having trouble sometimes with what to write, I looked at all the areas of Interest I had and then decided which of those held more interest for me in terms of writing and then focused on those ones, as it happens for me, I have two main areas I write on on my blog and I have seperate blogs for each of them

So, why not think about what you like the most, because you are your own brand and people will follow you because of that, and through the content you post, no matter what that is about

To give you a real life example, last year my wife and I learned ball room dancing with a very good teacher, we went for a good few months, and got to know her on a personal level, where she then revealed, that her dancing lessons were paying for advertising for her main passion, which was ... Property Development and nothing to do with dancing, she even had a blog and all sorts.

That might help a bit

I am now focusing on my interest. I think I will continue with this niche. Thank you for your helpful advice!

Glad it helped you.

we all start with this outlook.
it can be daunting to think that you need ot write articles of such length.
what about starting simpler - what about comparing several products from different manufacturers.
so either take the same toy form different sources or a theme and say what is available from each manufacturer.
this is almost like writing mini articles and stiching them together.
but it does come down to practice.
i would say your niche appears to be very wide- when you say learning toys are you targeting a specific age range or type or ....
if you are trying to talk to all parents with children from the age of 0 to 16 then you will be well diluted in your attempts- narrow your focus to a smaller age range.
but it does come down to practice. sorry.
but break each article down into smaller chunks and write each part, building on how many you write.
you will get there if you want to, and can see yourself doing so.
good luck Fiona.

I will focus on infants to preschoolers. Yes, I also think I should narrow it down. You've given me some useful ideas! Thank you so much! I will start with writing small articles first.

yes, you should. I am a terrible writer that is why I continue. It will get easier. The more you write and understand the easier it gets.I would start looking through educational toys instead of other sites for inspiration. Pick a toy and start gathering your info and then write. This isn't a race. Take your time and make sure your blogs are keyword rich content. If it makes you feel better. I have been working Online for 12 years and get hung-up every day. I use Grammarly sometimes.it helps.. You will get better with practice. I promise! use jaxxy for your keywords

You could always buy some articles and with some creative editing make them your own.
Its not a long term solution but will do as a stop gap until you feel confident writing your own material.

Get in touch if you think this is something you might like to do and I will be happy to point you in the right direction.

Hi Fiona, when we first come to writing it can be challenging for many of us it has been a long time since we wrote anything 1000 words can seem daunting.

It may sound cliche but one of the easiest ways is to break things down and just start writing we don't have to be the best when we are starting out all we have to do is start and then be consistent.

You will be surprised how quickly you will develop your skill set.

I see that you have a YouTube channel, have you thought of doing voice to text it can be done using Google Docs.

Best wishes I am sure it will come together for you, best wishes.

If you are a teacher I'm confident you can find in your day to day practice some interesting content to write about. Think about all the parents who are interesting in raising their kids.
Even if in the beginning it's not easy to write a hundred words, I should start with less, it will give you a writing routine, without stress. In the long run, you'll find it more and more easy to write. Eventually, read a lot about your subject, it will help you find the words. Don't give up, everyone is supporting you. Teaching is one of the most respectable jobs. Be proud of it!

Hi Kuructy

If it's actually writing that you're struggling with I have a free tool link in my blog "Voice recognition software" on my profile page that you can click on and use for free. It has helped me tremendously in writing, because all you have to do is talk..

I hope this helps, I find as I talk ideas flow easier.

Pete

sounds good!

That's what makes this community so successful is everyone helping everyone. :)

Always glad to help if I can!

Hi. I was always told not to overthink things. Write about what you enjoy and just let it flow. You will find it easier the more you do the writing. You are helping people with finding out more about those learning toys. Focus on how that you will help somebody’s child with their learning. Any niche is good if you are passionate about it. I write about soccer 😀 good luck.

Hi - is it just your chosen niche you are struggling with? Or writing in general? Only you can know if perhaps you should pick a different subject. Everybody needs to research before writing, and looking at similar websites can give you lots of ideas. Try and not think of it as 1000 words, but break it up with subheadings, and write shorter blocks of paragraphs, which may not be so overwhelming.

Welcome to WA,I was like you when I started. At first it was daunting, but when I saw my post got indexed,The excitement increased.I also did a lot of research at some point. Its advisable to start with what you enjoy doing.
I wish you great success here,I am sure others will come around with their own ideas.

So I should do more research before writing an article.

Thank you Spotlessng

Yes,research gives you ideas.Goodluck
