If You Build It - You Can Send Them To It
I checked out my website and I don't think they will be coming unless I send them. I am not the best at social media, actually I am nearly the worst at social media. So I will send them the old school way - via my business card. And as I really get happy with my website I will use a car magnet/bumper sticker.
Currently I have nothing to sell. I'm just generating content. I do think content is king. Not just because I love to write but also because I need an interesting clear message to attract and keep the visitor.
I'm in a situation where my time and energy is focused on handling a crisis, in addition to my job and the needs of my family. My keep moving forward plan is to build a website and get traffic. The much needed money part is actually number three on my to do list. I personally think; if you build it, and generate traffic - the money will come. :)

You will need to monetize the site for the money to come. You are right to keep building until you have some traffic.
You are so right and I haven't got a clue. I am on the third certification course now. Lesson one was, Understanding the Money! How ironic after my last post. Well, I am doing that now. Honestly, I'm not a sales person. I am not a social media person (I saw the social media lesson is coming up in a future certification course). I am someone who loves to learn and I will try it a few times - heaven help me. :)
You will get there, take it one step at a time. You don't really need to sell. You need to gain the trust of your readers.
Once you have that, they will want to buy from your reviews.

Oooh I love your quote - if you build it they will come - such a great movie, and Kevin Costner is one of my favourite actors, not to mention the actual movie! The line fits in with this situation I agree. You certainly have the right attitude - as with me money was not high on my list either. Let's be sure to build fantastic websites and get that traffic!
I agree. My first goal is to I create a helpful and informative website, second generate traffic and third make money. That said I have just started the 3rd training and it's about making money so I added a new website to complete the training with. I'm learning new things all the time here. :)
