What is happiness?

I am sure that there have been times in your life when you question yourself that- if life is a series of problems, then what EXACTLY is happiness? Well, to put it in "simple" words, It is an activity, a constant work in progress. It is not a destination, not a promotion, not a dream job and certainly not money.

It is however a by-product of the process during which we strive to achieve that promotion, or that goal, or that luxurious car/house, or may be helping someone in need. It comes from solving problems, it’s a feeling that we are moving in the direction we intend to.

Think about it like this: when you are trying to lose some weight, and after weeks of training and hard work, when you scale yourself and that machine shows a drop in that bar, than you feel happy. And the reason you feel happy is not primarily because you lost that weight, I mean it is a reason but the real motivation behind that happiness is when you finally realized that all your efforts are actually paying off, no matter how slow. You could have lost that weight by some other means like surgery, steroids or may be due to some illness or disease ( I am not against any of these practices or medical conditions, of course every body type is different ) but the fact that you chose to shed that fat by working out, by sweating, by clean eating and all that. It just feels so overwhelmingly beautiful, and then you start to grind again, with more confidence.

That’s what give us true happiness. It occurs only when you find the problems you enjoy having and enjoy solving. It doesn’t magically appear, and it sure as hell does not stay forever, but that’s what drives us to work harder. If you are mildly dissatisfied and insecure about your CURRENT condition, wherever you are, than that’s when you are going to do the most work to innovate & survive.

We are wired to become dissatisfied with whatever we have, and satisfied by only what we do not have. This constant dissatisfaction has kept our species fighting and striving, building and conquering. So our own pain and misery aren’t a bug of human evolution; they’re a feature. And happiness isn’t reaching at the top, it’s the climb to the top itself, the very effort..

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.
Yes, it is so true. So many people focus on what they don't have and that focus leads to dissatisfaction which leads to lack of joy.

We can see you like to think deeply about things. This will be a great asset as you build your niche website. People want some "deep" helpful content.

We wish you well as you continue learning and applying what you learn to your niche website.

Thank you Miss, that meant a lot. I also hope this blog might have helped you gain some perspective about your own problems and goals. Yes, I like to think about these things differently since I faced them myself for quite some time. I wish you all the best, stay in touch.

I mis-typed. It was "Thankyou Sir", My bad.
