Windows 10 safe mode

If you use windows as your operating system, it can sometines be frustrating when each new upgrade version renders what you've just learnt useless.

This is the case when loading up in safe mode. Windows seven and previous Windows OS meant holiding down the f8 key whilst booting up to achieve safe mode with networking.

I recently upgraded to windows 10 and got a nasty malware virus (the two events weren't related) so to use the internet to register a virus-checker whilst in safe mode I:-

1. Clicked on the windows desktop icon
2. located the power menu and clicked Restart whilst holding down the shift key
3 When it rebooted to the safe-mode task screen I clicked on Restart
4 On entering safe-mode I contiued with my task

This is a simple process but one that you either know or you don't - you now know it, hope it helps...

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Kevin! I am so afraid to go ahead and upgrade just because of WA. I don't want to mess this up, so I appreciate some information before I do it for a "just in case" moment!
