Yes, if your new permalink is different from what it was before then you need to change it because otherwise it will lead readers to a non existing page.
That's what I thought. I have changed it. Everything changed correctly except my page title? Maybe I need to delete the old site completely?

Some how when I added my first blog entry I deleted my about me post. It still shows in the content of my siterubix, but when I try to repost it l get the sign in for the sight
Thanks all. I figured it out. All I had to do was pull it out of the trash. Luckily I hadn't permanently deleted it! Thank God!
You can do it through SiteContent or go directly to your site dashboard and paste it there by creating a new post.

Copy your About me page in The SiteContent and login to your site and paste the About Me page in a new post.
When you are prompted to sign in again, have you tried doing that? is that sign-in successful?
This sounds like a strange situation -- You may want to open a support ticket to see if the tech support folks can help.
