Finding the time!

One thing I've experienced here so far at WA is how hard it is to find the time to put into your own online business. I myself have noticed a significant drop in the amount over the last week that I have been able to put into my online presence. It's been incredibly difficult since I've been forced to invest more time then I would like into my 9-5... (isn't that why we all joined here? to eventually get away from that ball and chain?) Anyway, after being able to break free from the shackels that inevitably connect me to my desk for what seems like an eternity every day, the unfortunate last thing I want to do when I get home is think about more work. Yes I know that WA isn't really work since it's something you're passionate about, but you still have to put in the work to make it successful. Between spending time with the wife and kids, a 9-5, and the unfortunate time absorder known as Facebook, (I once looked down at my phone at 9 am, and when I looked up again it was already night time, I swear, true story.....) how does a budding young entrepreneur find the measly seconds he/she has in order to actually make this work?

Well the only thing I could come up with, is something that I now hold with me everywhere I go, and in everything I do. Are you ready for this? I promise, it's deep, and you may want to be sitting down when you read this...

GET COMFORTABLE IN THE UNCOMFORTABLE!

That's right folks, Get Comfortable in the Uncomfortable. Seems kind of backwards at first, till you really start to think about it. In everything we do in our lives we do so that we can be comfortable, and yet, what does true comfort actually mean? What does one person achieve when they get comfortable? The get stagnant, they get passive, and they stop pushing for their best. Think about it, when are people the most uncomfortable? During huge life changes, or when something unexpected happens. UNEXPECTED CHANGES!!!

No one like change and we all try so hard to prevent it from happening that we deny physical evidence and actual fact because if we were wrong before it means we have to change, and that makes me uncomfortable. People, it's from true discomfort that we experience the most amount of growth and opportunity. It's when we feel the most amount of discomfort that we truly get a glimpse of what we are able to achieve. There is nothing more satisfying then struggling with something only to see the seeds of your labors ACTUALLY BEARING FRUIT, even if it only lasts for a moment. The worst part I've also come to realize is that this whole idea has such an impact on every aspect of life, such a monumental shift to the human condition, and yet I mostly got the idea from a video game.... kind of funny right? What game you might ask, well its the one and only Dark Souls. Now if you know anything about this game, ill give you a very short break down...

You spawn at a bonfire (your save point if you will), no direction, no assistance, and everything can and will kill you. Now go.

Yeah I know it sounds simple, but when you die 185 times in the first stage, and half the time its from single individual little insignificant nobody mosters on your way to the boss, you really appreciate the little things. And man do you ever feel the biggest amount of joy imaginable when you finally DO clear the tutorial boss, find the next bonfire, and can finally progress through the story...

So to end my rant people just remember, BE COMFORTABLE IN THE UNCOMFORTABLE, get used to the struggles because they will always be there, and realize that as long as you have a passion, a drive, and a determination to be successful, you will find that next bonfire, get a moment to relax and enjoy the feeling, before you hit the road again looking for the next boss...

It is hard for sure to find time, especially when you have full time employment. I just push myself to always put in at least an hour. Watch the next series in the course, complete the task list, and engage with the community for about 10-15 min.

And when I have some time to myself, this is what I work on. For the most part, I've pushed TV to the side, so that I can focus on my business.
